The Advocacy Committee organized a Lobbying Day at the
State Capitol to talk with legislators about issues pertinent
to graduate students, e.g. graduate student unionization,
the Ombuds Office, and the UH budget. HGEA provided
lunch, and the students broke into small groups for
meetings with key legislators. (For more information on the
bills go to Facebook: UHM Legislative fellows).
