Chinese New Year 2015 Celebrations
Elements of Transformation
Hale Man, Artist In Residence at The Whitgift Centre
welcomes you to join in with creative activities to
celebrate the year of the Sheep in 2015.
Saturday 21st February 2015 from 1pm - 5pm.
Formal opening at 2pm by The Mayor of Croydon
Councillor Manju Shahul-Hameed.
There will be a viewing of the Phoenix Rising art animation,
followed by Tai Chi and Qi Gong performances and
art activities for all.
Sunday 22nd February 2015 from 1pm - 4pm.
Collaborative art workshops focusing on Elements of Transformation.
An interesting way to combine art and spiritual development through
art workshops, Sound workshops and Reiki sessions.
Donations towards activities are welcomed to support
the art activities at the artist studio.
1pm -1:30pm.
Animation Phoenix Rising - Hale Man Resident Artist.
1:30pm - 2pm.
Healing & Sound Workshop - Winniefred Carneiro M.A / and friends.

Art Commissions
Professional high quality art commissions by Hale Man.
Hale Man studied at the Royal College of Art and graduated with a MA in Fine
Art Painting.
Afterwards she studied Chinese painting as a postgraduate scholarship in
China from the British Council at the Hangzhou’s Academy of Fine Art.
She has successfully created large site-specific art commissions, as part of
complex multi-partnership community art projects, art activities and workshops
for museums and other organisations in London, such as the Transport
Museum, Museum of London, Horniman Museum and Gardens.
Art Jamming
An amazing opportunity for imaginative and creative art workshops for
small to large groups wanting an artistic and engaging experience. These
workshops are led by Hale Man and also led by her team of volunteers.

Art Mix
Art Mix is an opportunity for artists and community groups to collaborate
with Hale Man and her ambitious art project to develop a vibrant and
sustainable artist hub in Croydon.
This is a fabulous way for the wider artistic community to connect and
collaborate with her amazing art project. Hale Man aims to build new
audiences and engage in collaborations with community groups, art groups,
artists, performance, music and visual artists.
Art Cave
Interactive educational art workshops for school children.
Come and meet Hale Man in her art studio, take a tour of her artwork and have
the opportunity to take part in fun and creative art workshops, that will be
designed to support and enhance your school curricula, under the theme of
Elements of Transformation.
Available Tuesdays and Wednesdays from:
Art activities will take place in Hale Man’s art studio and promote on her
website and leaflets with the support of her art volunteers.

Opportunities to fundraise together, otherwise charges apply.
1 hour 15 minute sessions.
