Childminders Support Group (under 5’s)
A stay and play for childminders with input from childminding network co-ordinator.
Chit Chats, Family Support Drop–In, includes snack (under 5’s)
For expectant parents and families with children aged 0-5 years. Join us for advice, guidance
and support or just a friendly chat. A Family Support Worker will be present at every session.
Nurturing Programme - The Parenting Puzzle Course
A programme which helps parents to develop their parenting skills. It covers many topics such
as, why children behave as they do, recognising feelings, approaches to discipline and building
co operation. We provide a limited number of free crèche places. Please speak to the Children’s
Centre staff for more information
Parent Support Programme - Courses delivered throughout the year including “Confidence
Unpacked” and “Goals Unboxed”. Referral is made by our Family Support team. Please speak to
the Children’s Centre staff or your Health Visitor for more information.
Play and Learn - For families living in the Pokesdown & Southbourne areas (under 5’s)
Each session is based on an area of learning and development from the Early Years Foundation
Stage, and may include, art & craft, experiments, story and song time, and free play.

CoMotion Movement and Dance for Toddlers
Children are encouraged to experience movement and dance in many different forms, learn new
skills, play create and dance with their caregivers and their friends
Sensory Experiences - Minky Moos
A unique development enhancing sensory session with music, songs, sounds, colours, textured
toys, bubbles, effective lights and flashing objects.
