o Tues.-Thurs. classes are themed for ages 7 – 11 & can be
attended 1, 2 or all 3 days. 10:30-2:30 (bring your own lunch);
$34 non-members/$26 members per day.***CSI exception.
o Friday classes are for ages 3-6 (must be potty trained or
attend with an adult). 10:30-12:00; $18 non-members/$10
members.

It’s Electric! June 23 – June 25



Tues: Batteries & Circuits! – Create batteries
from many different things! A banana?
Wed: Light it Up! – Create light up cards &
throwies with LED lights! Simple circuitry fun!
Thurs: Artistic Lights! – Explore electric ink &
thread to create art that glows.

The Great Paper Capers! July 7 – July 9



Tues: Rollercoasters! – Engineer paper roller
coasters!
Wed: Catapults! – Engineer paper catapults!
Thurs: Origami & Original Art – Create paper
jewelry, books, boxes & origami as you learn
the art of folding paper!
Royal Tea Party Fri. June 26
Science Play ~ Wild Water! Fri. July 10
Princes & Princesses are invited to a Royal Tea Party.
Create a crown, learn tea party manners, participate in
a royal parade & enjoy tea with the king & queen.
The young ones will love science as they explore water
and all of its unique properties. You are never too young
to explore the world around you!

Tues: Super Solar System – Explore all the
planets without leaving Earth! How far is
Uranus? How many Earth’s fit into the sun?
Wed: Marvelous Moon & Mysterious Mars –
Explore Earth’s Moon & Mars, our fiery
neighbor! Learn the phases of the moon and
about Mars exploration.
Thurs: Space Exploration – Explore the
intricacies of space exploration & build your
own space rover!



Tues: Field Science – Investigate the world
outside! How many organisms can be found in a
square foot? Use science tools like stereoscopes
& microscopes.
Wed: Food Science – Measure, weigh, mix and
create something yummy through chemistry!
Thurs: Future Science – Explore the newest and
strangest science technologies! What are those
nanotechnologists up to? Robots in your body?

The young ones will love science as they learn about air
~ that is everywhere! You are never too young to

Tues: Catapults – Engineer catapults from craft
sticks, rubber bands, duct tape & more!
Wed: Storm the Castle – Can you design a castle
to withstand the onslaught of the catapults?
Thurs: Airplanes & Rockets – Explore the forces
of flight! Engineer airplanes and attempt to get
your rocket to the moon!
Science Play ~ Sound! Fri. July 24
The young ones will love science as they learn about
sound & the mysteries of air movement. You are never
too young to explore the world around you!

puppets to whirling sculptures, learn to
engineer your own creative designs.

technology to keep unwanted siblings out of
your room and to light up play dough!




Tues: Crime Scene! - Examine the crime scene &
collect evidence.
Wed: Investigate! – Research suspects &
process evidence.
Thurs: Forensic Science! – Conduct experiments
to learn what the evidence reveals!
Fri: Who dunnit? – Test your powers of
deduction based on the evidence.

Thurs:. Marvelous Mobiles! – Design & engineer
kinetic sculptures.

*Hands On! reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment 3 days prior to class date. *
*The cancellation deadline by participant is 14 days prior to the start date of class.*
To cancel, please call Hands On! at 828-697-8333 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday.
If you cancel before the deadline, we will be happy to apply the class fee toward another class,
birthday party or membership. No refunds will be given to cancellations made after the cancellation date.
