Senior Newsletter 2014-2015
Prom:
Prom tickets will be sold during all three lunches from May 18-20 in the
commons; make up sales will be 8:00-8:30am on May 26 in the front office hallway. Tickets are $30 each. Prom will be held on May 30 from 7-11 PM at the Altria Theater Ballroom— 6 North Laurel St, Richmond, VA 23220. Guest forms
will be available in the front office and on the school website.
Senior Awards Night:
On May 18, seniors will be recognized for scholarships and achievements! There
will be a short reception starting at 5:30 PM in the Commons. The program will
begin at 6:00 PM in the Auditorium.
Graduation Practice:
Practice will be held on June 1. There will be a short meeting in the auditorium at
8:30 AM before we go to the Sigel Center. You do not need your caps and gowns
for practice. Please leave them at school. You will need them for the cap and
gown picture following practice. The picture will be in the Atlee gym.
Teacher “Twinsie” Day: June 3 (B Day). Take this opportunity to “twinsies”
with your favorite teacher and have lunch together! A “thank-you” note to your
teachers would be nice, too! Students are to remain in class.
Baccalaureate:
Baccalaureate, a religious celebration for graduates, will be held in the Atlee
Auditorium on June 7 at 7:00 PM. A committee of area religious leaders and
seniors have worked together to create a meaningful program for all seniors
wishing to attend. There will be a reception following the service.
Graduation Information:
Tickets: Each senior will be given 10 tickets and two parking passes. Tickets
will be distributed from the library on June 2-3. Any senior still owing fines /
uniforms, etc. will NOT get tickets until debts are settled.
Line Up: Report to the line-up room and be seated no later than 11:15 AM on
June 13.
Dress Code: If you are wearing a white gown, please be sure to wear a white
dress with a hemline that does not fall below the bottom of the gown. Please
wear white shoes. We strongly encourage flats. If you wearing a blue gown,
please be sure to wear dress pants, white shirts, ties, dark socks and dark shoes.
No sandals, jeans, flip flops or tennis shoes are to be worn by anyone. Please
leave all valuables in the car or with a family member.
