EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Kendall County Health Department (KCHD) is accepting resumes for Director of Community
Health Services. This full-time leadership position (40 hours a week-including one evening a week,
Tuesdays, 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.; occasional evening and weekend hours required). The Position
requires excellent interpersonal skills, proven programmatic systems background, strong
management abilities and experience in public health. Position available the beginning of July.
The position requires:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Bachelors in related field; Master's degree in nursing, public
health or public administration preferred
Licensed by State of Illinois as a Registered Nurse
Two (2) years of full-time experience in a generalized family-centered nursing program in a
community health agency
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to direct and support the Community Health Services Unit staff
Ability to supervise and provide support to the Unit’s programs, including but not limited to
WIC, FCM, Communicable Disease Surveillance, and Child and Travel Immunization Clinics
and behavioral health nursing
Ability to work with all units of KCHD to promote holistic approach to community health
Ability to craft and implement educative programs
Ability to write for grants and to manage and attain grant deliverables
Ability to implement KCHD’s IPLAN, PHAB and CARF accreditation standards, and
outcome management models
Ability to pass a background check, and maintain a valid Illinois driver’s license and current
auto insurance
