Welcome to the Helmdon Acorns Newsletter 20th March 2015 Welcome to our weekly news email! We will email this each week with plans and themes for the following week and other news regarding the pre-school. We hope that you find this a useful way to engage in your child’s time here at Acorns. Please take show & tell items home each day Staff News: Dear Parents / Carers The “Going on a bear hunt” theme proved popular this week! The children enjoyed the sensory tray to act out the story, made binoculars and made some wonderful finger paintings which can be seen on the display board in the lobby. As well as looking at positional language, we also searched for numbers in the treasure tray for St. Patricks Day. Next week we will be making Easter cakes and crafts and continuing with our Spring theme. We are also encouraging the children with self-care skills such as hand washing, dressing up etc. Learning Journey comment sheets are available in the black file box in the lobby. Please take a few minutes to fill one out to help us to support your child’s learning. Any comments and suggestions are welcomed. Acorns break up for Easter on Friday. May we remind you that Acorns Contact us: re-opens on Tuesday 14th April. Gemma Gray will be leaving us on Friday to pursue her new career with Thomson Holidays!
