April 2015 Preschool News Happy Spring to all of our families! We’ve had a good month of learning about various community workers. We’ve had fun dressing as construction workers & police officers, we’ve enjoyed pretending to be doctors and nurses & even ice cream servers! We’ve also enjoyed many special visitors. Theme for April The Preschool theme will be Ocean. Look for us to have lots of fun with water and sand. Of course we will also have Easter as our theme. We will be hearing about Jesus’s last days on earth in our Bible stories and end with his crucifixion & resurrection. Easter Brunch An important event in our Preschool is our Easter Brunch. This will be on Thursday, April 2, at 11:00 a.m. Note that grandparents & other family members are invited. We will gather in the MPR for a meal and some singing by the children. We will celebrate Easter together! Look for the sign-up sheets by the sign-in table. Please let us know how many people will be attending and if you can bring a dish to share. Please remember, that if your child doesn’t normally attend on Thursdays, we encourage you to make arrangement to bring them & attend this with them. Mother’s Day Tea Just a reminder that our Mother’s Day Tea is coming in May. It will be held on Tuesday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m. This is a special time the Moms can spend with their preschool child so please be sure to come. Please make other arrangements for your younger children so you can enjoy the time with your preschooler. The children will be serving their mother’s a light lunch. If your child normally doesn’t come to school on Friday’s, we encourage you to come for this special event. New students Please welcome two new boys and one new girl to our class. Madilyn Terwilliger and Nathaniel Clough will be starting the first week and Benjamin Mendoza will be starting on the 13th. ---------------- Thank you’s ------------------Thank you to Officer Sean Begley (Audrey’s dad) for coming in and sharing about being a police officer and for the cool stickers and coloring books. Thank you to Chief Cormier for coming in and sharing about his job as a firefighter. Thank you to Denis Ivanov (Zlata’s dad) and Mike Garrabrants (Gabby’s dad) for helping with our last room change.
