Dear Friend,
March 30, 2015 is approaching quickly and we are in need of your help to make our 20th Annual Triple
Crown Golf Classic a success! We are soliciting your support for a sponsorship and/or donation for the event.
Your contribution would mean so much to us, as the money raised benefits two great service organizations in
the Aiken area. The agencies are Helping Hands, Inc. and Tri Development Center of Aiken County, Inc., which
are both United Way agencies that provide a wide array of services for Aiken and surrounding counties.
Helping Hands is an emergency shelter for abused, abandoned and/or neglected children. They
provide 24-hour care for children, aged birth to 21, who have been removed from their homes. Communitybased services are also offered to children, teens and parents/guardians through Aiken Youth Empowerment, a
program of Helping Hands. Tri-Development offers vocational, social, recreational and residential and advocacy
services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and their families. Through public education, they
help with the prevention of disabilities, in addition to the community awareness and understanding of people
with disabilities. Your participation in this event will further support the services that each agency provides.
Established in 1995, The Triple Crown Golf Classic is a Captain’s Choice tournament, with a shot-gun start. It
is held at Woodside Plantation Country Club and is played on both the Cupp and Jones golf courses. Presently
sponsorships, donations of goods and/or services, team entries and individual players are needed to make this event
a success. Sponsorships and/or registration fees are tax deductible.
We ask that you choose to do one or more of the following:



Sponsor: Sponsorships help defray the cost of the event. Should you choose to support in this way, your
company will receive high visibility, in addition to an opportunity to play in the event. (See brochure for
Sponsorship Appeals)
Donate: You can support the event by donating goods and/or services that will act as prizes for golfers
or appear in the Ditty Bags that each golfer receives at registration
Ditty Bags: Each year, at least 180 golfers participate in the event. Should you choose to donate items
to be placed in the Ditty Bags, we ask that you provide a minimum of 200 items.

Team Entry: Treat yourself, your fellow employees, family or friends to a day of golf at the exclusive
Woodside Plantation’s Cupp and Jones golf courses. Golfers will compete for over $10,000 in prizes.
The day will also include a free lunch by Chick-fil-A of Aiken and a closing ceremony dinner by
Outback Steakhouse of Aiken.
We also hope that you will find the above options quite pleasing and consider supporting this event. Please note that
all sponsorships and/or contributions will be tax deductible. Our Federal Identification number is 57-0564484. I have

Teams will compete for gross and net
prizes. Women’s Division will play the
Cupp Course.

Helping Hands, Inc. is a private nonprofit agency dedicated
to the safety, health and welfare of abused, abandoned and
neglected children. Its emergency shelter provides emergency

Tri-Development Center works hard to positively impact the
lives of children and adults with disabilities and their families.
Education and resources to the public are provided to help with
the prevention of disabilities and our community’s understanding
of people with disabilities. Vocational, social, recreational,
residential and advocacy services are included in the many
opportunities we make available to individuals with autism,
head and spinal cord injuries, intellectual disabilities and related
