for a webinar on
Viral Hepatitis Preventive Services and the Affordable Care Act
. The webinar will feature speakers from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable, and the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations. In 2013 and 2014, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) issued a “B grade” recommending hepatitis B virus (HBV) screening for persons at high risk for infection and hepatitis C virus (HCV) screening for persons at risk for infection and onetime screening for adults born between 1945 and 1965, or baby boomers. Those at high risk for infection include people born in countries where the prevalence of hepatitis B is greater than 2%, people born in the U.S. who were not vaccinated in infancy and whose parents are from a country with a high prevalence, people with HIV infection, injection drug users, people living with or having sex with people infected with hepatitis B, and men who have sex with men. Join us for this interactive session to learn more about implementation of the USPSTF hepatitis screening recommendations and what this means for viral hepatitis preventive services under the Affordable Care Act. Panelists will discuss successes to date, opportunities, and how you can get involved. Date: May 21, 2015 Time: 3:00 PM EDT Register at:
