ROLE SUMMARY:
HE Simm are looking for a bright and enthusiastic graduate to join our team. This is a fantastic
opportunity for a recent graduate to develop the PR and Marketing activities of one of the fastest
growing Mechanical and Electrical companies in the UK.
The role of the Marketing graduate will be to support the business in the delivery of the marketing
plan and strategic objectives. Encompassing a variety of disciplines you will gain broad experience in
business events, media production and marketing in the promotion of the Company to existing and
future clients. The role will also involve the design of marketing collateral, presentations in addition
to PR activity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
















Assist with developing and managing the PR and Marketing plan and budget;
Manage and co-ordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities;
Plan, manage and attend client social events;
Plan and oversee literature production, including print management and distribution;
Develop and manage relationships with PR Consultants;
Analyse and compare competitor’s coverage;
Researching into creative and innovative ways to build brand awareness;
Create and manage brand standards manual;
Responsible for design of Company branded promotional items;
Complete general day-to-day administration;
Update Company website and liaise with website Development Company, including project
management, content planning and creation, SEO and other promotion;
Writing press releases and providing editorial support in trade and consumer press as well as
building and maintaining Company relations with journalists and editors;
Develop and Manage image library;
Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results;
Create marketing presentations, including business case presentations, capability statements,
new contract awards, KPI wheels, project case studies, newsletters;
Assist with the creation of tender presentation documentation;
 Responsible for the Company newsletters, including liaising with department heads to generate
content, content planning and creation;
 Manage internal and external PR/Marketing processes in line with business procedures.
PERSONAL SKILLS:
 Degree level in a relevant subject (Marketing/Business/Language);
 Excellent written English is absolutely vital to the role;
 Must be proficient in the use of Prezi Presentation and Microsoft office, particularly Word, Excel,
Publisher & PowerPoint;
 Familiarity with Mac OS and Keynote is desirable but not essential;
 Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
 Excellent attention to detail;
 Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously prioritising by deadline;
 Self-starter with ability to take the initiative in a busy working environment;
 Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
 Willing to work outside normal office hours when required;
 A good understanding of social media is highly desirable.
