These summer camps give children an outstanding opportunity to
experience the proven, award-winning training program in the basics of
traditional Japanese martial arts developed by world-famous Hidy Ochiai.
Each five-day camp features instruction in:
 Karate — self-defense, forms, sport
 Kobudo — Traditional weapons training (emphasis on Bo Staff technique)
 Agility and coordination development exercises
 Games
 Japanese brush painting
 Healthy snack, lunch, and an age-appropriate martial arts video

Master Hidy Ochiai
Master Hidy Ochiai
is recognized as one of the
world’s premier martial arts
educators and technicians.
From 1967 -1980, he
dominated the competitive martial arts world, with
his accomplishments recognized by Black Belt
Magazine, ABC’s Wide World of Sports and ESPN.
Since coming to the United States in 1966,
Hidy Ochiai envisioned bringing the many benefits
of traditional martial arts education to school-aged
children. In 1994, he founded the not-for-profit
Educational Karate Program (EKP), which has
been validated and funded by the New York State
Education Department since 1995.
Hidy Ochiai is the author of five books on
martial arts techniques, philosophy and practice.
