Engineering, and Math (STEM), emphasizing education
through hands-on activities selected from our various
engineering programs.

OUR INSTRUCTORS
Master Hidy Ochiai is recognized as one of
the world’s premier martial arts educators
and technicians. He is a legend among
marital arts aficionados. From 1967 to 1980,
he dominated the competitive martial arts
world. His award-winning Educational Karate
Program (EKP) has been validated the New
York Education Department.

William Max Winkler, a 5th Degree Black
Belt, was an apprentice to Hidy Ochiai in New
York from 2003 to 2012. He has been teaching
martial arts for 14 years to all ages (4 to adult)
in private dojos, after-school programs and
University courses. Sensei Winkler has a B.A.
from Cornell University (2001).

Collaborative Summer Camp (for ages 8 - 12)
July 27 – 31 9 am – 4 pm
Morning half-day (9 am*- 12 noon) at Hidy Ochiai Karate NOVA
Afternoon half-day (12 noon** – 4 pm) at Engineering for Kids NOVA
Our studios are less than 50 yards apart. Instructors will bring campers from the karate studio to the engineering studio.
