The Regents' Scholarship is a great opportunity to become college-ready and earn a scholarship at the same time. To earn the
Regents' Scholarship, you must complete the required courses during grades 9-12, by the date of high school graduation. This
sheet is summary information only. For full details, read the Program Guide on www.regentsscholarship.org.
REQUIRED COURSES
DD4 credits of English
DD4 progressive credits of Mathematics
At minimum, you must complete Secondary Math 1, Math 2, Math 3 and one course beyond Math 3.
DD3.5 credits of Social Science
DD3 credits of lab-based Science, specifically one each of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
DD2 progressive credits of the same World Language (other than English) during grades 9-12
ONE SCHOLARSHIP, THREE AWARDS
The three awards within the Regents' Scholarship are outlined below. To receive the scholarship, you must enroll in 15
credits at an eligible college and meet other non-academic requirements detailed in the Program Guide.
Base Award (up to $1,000, one-time payment)
• Complete the required courses earning a "C" or higher in each course, a 3.0 cumulative HS GPA, and take the ACT test.
Exemplary Academic Achievement Award (renewable max of $1,250 per semester, for up to four semesters)
• Complete the required courses earning a "B" or higher in each course, a 3.5 cumulative HS GPA and an ACT score of a 26
or higher.
Utah Educational Savings Plan Supplemental Award (one-time max of $400)
• Based on saving through a UESP account. To maximize the award, save $100 when you are 14, 15, 16 and 17.

Guide is updated in each April, so be sure to review and update your four-year plan every spring.

To satisfy the requirements, you must, at minimum, complete 4 progressive credits including Sec. Math 1, 2 and 3 plus one
additional class beyond Sec. Math 3 (or Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 plus one class beyond Algebra 2).
One each of Biology, Chemistry, Physics-all science courses must have a lab. Students who complete a concurrent enrollment/
college science course must complete the college lecture and the college lab; i.e. Biology 1010 and 1015 must be completed.
2 credits of the same World Language taken progressively.
