Does your child have a pile of books that they have already read

Does your child have a pile of books that they have already read? Do
you wish you had the opportunity to exchange them for more exciting
reading materials?
The Book Swap is for YOU!!!
How it Works
From Wednesday April 1 to Tuesday May 5 students may bring in “gently
used” books to the library for donation. We will track the number of
chapter/fiction books and non-fiction books brought in by each student. The
maximum number of books a student may bring in is 10. We will not be able
to accept books after May 5.
Once all books are collected and sorted, dates will be announced and
students may come to the library to select books of their choice based on the
number of books they turned in. *Students participating in the “Book Swap”
may elect to donate 1 or more books to our “Books for Students” box in the
library for those who do not have books to donate. All books received will be
charted and students will receive a Book Swap ticket.
Book Criteria
Please make choices carefully before bringing in books. Books will only be
accepted under the following guidelines:
Books must be appropriate for grades 6-8
Books must be in gently used condition: cover on, no rips, tears, or bent edges
Books with coloring or writing in them will not be accepted
Coloring books, activity books, and sticker books will not be accepted
Books from kids’ meals will not be accepted (Chick-fil-a, McDonalds, etc.)
Please note that the selection of books available will be based on books
donated. We cannot ensure specific titles, etc. If you have any questions
please contact your library staff @ 591-4878 extension 36600.
