Hive Chicago Fund for Connected Learning
at The Chicago Community Trust
2015-Round 1 Grant Recipients
Catalyst Grants Catalyst grants can be up to $100,000 and require a 1:1 match. The projects are onetotwoyear efforts that fully implement a previously tested concept to connect youth learning using digital media, emphasizing a successful outcome for participating youth and partner organizations. The projects are expected to serve more than 100 youth and should result in a fully tested project that is replicable with modest modifications. Groups must gather tangible evidence of effectiveness of learning principles and teaching strategies and demonstrate a level of cost effectiveness per student to enable program expansion with outside funding. 1.
