Monday, May 25, seventh grade attended a field trip to Our Lady of Prompt Succor National Shrine. Students learned about the history of the Ursuline Sisters in New Orleans, the Battle of New Orleans, and the devotion to Our Lady of Prompt Succor. They visited the beautifully renovated chapel and the Ursuline museum with amazing artifacts. It was a wonderful way to remember the Battle of New Orleans 200 hundred years ago, while honoring our mother, Mary. 5th Grade Dioramas Fifth grade students in Mrs. Cathy's English classes were given the assignment to choose a biography book that tells the life story of someone who may be famous or not so famous, from today or from the past.
