Attached is a registration form, schedule and rules for the 5th Annual Holdrege Chamber RibFest Ju n e 2 0 , 2 0 1 5
 There will be 2 competitions this year—one for pork ribs and one for beef brisket! Double your chances of winning!  The event will be held on 5th Avenue between West Avenue and Grant Street – see attached map!  You can start selling food to the public at 2:00 pm!  To enter, fill out the registration form and mail it back to the Chamber with your entry fee of $50.  After June 5th, the entry fee goes up to $75, so get your registration in ASAP! 5th ANNUAL HOLDREGE CHAMBER RIBFEST June 20, 2015 Holdrege, Nebraska Schedule & Rules: 6:15‐7:00 AM—Registration; Set‐Up; Meat Checks Volunteers will be available to answer your questions. Remember this is FUN—we want you to enjoy your time at Swedish Days, let us know how we can help! Electricity is available; bring your own cord (50’ to 100’ recommended). 7:00 AM start time; no cooking before. 7:00 AM—Cooking begins! Cooking will be held on 5th Avenue between West Ave and Grant St. (See attached map for location.) 2:00 PM—Ribfest & Beer Garden Open to Public You may sell any food items (meat, ribs, sandwiches, chips, side dishes, etc.) you wish in whatever manner to the public and keep all proceeds starting at 2:00 pm. 250+ people are expected to eat at this event! No sales of water or other beverages, please. Beer/beverage vendors will also be open at this time. 5:00 PM—Beef Brisket Turn‐In for Judging Competitors will provide a sampling for 4 judges. Must fit in 2‐9.5” x 9.5” clam shell containers provided by the Ribfest Committee. A member of the committee will pick up and number the containers. 5:00 PM—Pork Rib Turn‐In for Judging Provide 12 ribs for judging. Must fit in 2‐9.5” x 9.5” clam shell containers provided by the Ribfest Committee. A member of the committee will pick up and number the containers. 7:00 PM—Awards Presentation  Beef Brisket—Champion & runner‐up awarded a trophy and cash ($200 for champion / $100 for runner up). 

However, you may bring any food items to sell to the public from 2:00‐8:00 pm. (ex: BBQ sandwiches, sides, ribs, chips, etc.) Beverage sales will not be allowed as there will be beverage vendors. Trash must be removed by each competitor—Dumpsters are available. Restroom facilities will be available at Spirit of Grace, 413 West Ave. Bring separate containers for grease and ashes—Barrels will be available. Proper storage of meat is required—It must be maintained below 40˚F or above 140˚F. Proper handling of food is required—Vinyl or latex gloves should be used.—Music will be provided; do not plan to play your own. WAIVER OF LIABILITY By submitting this form I agree to abide by Holdrege Chamber Ribfest rules, regulations and judging procedures. In consideration of your accepting this entry, I,
the undersignedm intending to be legally bound, hereby, for myself, heirs, my executors and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have against Holdrege Area Chamber of Commerce or the City of Holdrege and their agents, successors and assigns for any and all injuries suffered by me during this event. Furthermore, I hereby grant permission to Holdrege Chamber Ribfest and/or agents authorized by them to use any photographs, video tapes, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose.
