FROM THE PASTOR’S PEN
On Divine Mercy Sunday, an image of The Divine Mercy will be
blessed and displayed in the sanctuary as requested by Jesus.
The image represents the Risen Christ bringing Mercy to the
whole world. Please take a moment and, with gratitude and
trust in God’s Mercy, recall the mystery of the Passion, Death
and Resurrection of Our Lord while viewing the image. In this
way the image will be venerated as Our Lord asked.
“I want the image (which he instructed St. Faustina to have
painted as she saw him) to be solemnly blessed on the first
Sunday after Easter, and I want it to be venerated publicly so
that every soul may know about it.
By means of this image I shall be granting
many graces to souls.” (341)
On the Feast of Mercy
“All the divine floodgates through which
graces flow are opened.” (699)
Join the hundreds of thousands across the world who have
responded to this message of God’s mercy and have found
hope, healing and answers to many prayers. The Feast of
Mercy is a day when we should approach the Lord with great
Faith and Trust and Appreciation. Don’t be afraid to ask for
great things, spiritual as well as temporal. Rejoice in Our
Lord’s unfathomable mercy!
Join us today at 3:00 pm
Chaplet of the Divine Mercy
Come and learn about the life of St Faustina and participate in the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy.
Pictures and information will also be available regarding this special lady and why reciting the
Chaplet on a regular basis is so important. Please plan to attend.

PARISH HAPPENINGS
Mini Course on Divine Mercy
Lesson 8: Divine Mercy Sunday - The Hour of Mercy Today at 3:00 PM
The Hour of Mercy is a time of a prayer devotion that can be celebrated
anywhere that you are with even a short meditation. Jesus told Sister Faustina,
“I remind you my daughter, that as often as you hear the clock strike the third
hour, immerse yourself completely in My mercy adoring and glorifying it;
invoke its omnipotence for the whole world and particularly for poor sinners;
for at that moment, mercy was opened wide for every soul.” It is Jesus’ desire
that the moment of His death on the cross (3:00 PM) be venerated every day;
the hour which He said “was the hour of grace for the whole world – mercy
triumphed over justice.” At this hour, He wants us to meditate upon His
sorrowful passion because it reveals most distinctly the love God has for His
people. At this time, Jesus wants us to worship and glorify the mercy of God
and by the merits of His passion to implore the necessary graces for ourselves and the whole world
especially for sinners. When you say this prayer with a contrite heart and with faith on behalf of some
sinner, I will give them the grace of conversion. This is the prayer: “O Blood and Water which gushed
forth from the Heart of Jesus as a font of Mercy for us, I trust in You.”
NOTE: All Lesson quotations were from the booklet: “ The Divine Mercy” I.S.B.N. 2-922978-10-9 (Yellow
cover). The BOLD print – Jesus words from the Diary of St. Faustina Kowalska.
