Please keep all the men on the CRHP Retreat this
weekend in your prayers. Any man who has already
attended a CRHP weekend but was not able to go
into formation, call John Castillo at (214) 995-7582 if
you would like to continue with Team 35.
Do you still have a CRHP manual? If you have
forgotten to return your manual, please drop it off at
the rectory. Thank you.
After interviewing qualified applicants, the Search Committee
charged with the task of identifying a new Principal for Holy
Infant School has made a resounding recommendation to me
with which I am in complete agreement. I am therefore very
pleased to inform you that, beginning with the 2015-2016
school year, our new Principal will be Mrs. Becky McQuaide!
Mrs. McQuaide is herself a daughter of Holy Infant Parish and
a graduate of Holy Infant School. For the past fourteen years
she has taught sixth grade here and has also served as the
curriculum coordinator for our school. In both of those roles,
she has garnered the utmost respect from our school’s faculty
and staff.
As Mrs. McQuaide assumes her new leadership role among
us, Sister Rosario will remain available to her and to me in a
consultative capacity throughout the coming year. I have
every confidence that this will assure continuity with regard to
our many and valued community traditions as well as the
ongoing academic excellence of our school.
I ask that you join me today in a prayer of gratitude for Mrs.
Denny Bram from the Catholic Education Office who has been
very helpful to us throughout this process, as well as for Rick
Effer, Tony Gordon, John Kampschroeder, Jennifer Knapp,
Katie Lodes, Carol Nacke, Ian Patterson and Jeannie
Steenberge who dedicated themselves so conscientiously to
the work of our Search Committee.
During this Eastertide and Pentecost time I also invite us all to
pray for a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit and His
manifold gifts upon Mrs. McQuaide as she prepares to
undertake her new responsibilities.
A Blessed Easter Season!

Seven Pillars of Catholic Spirituality
Matthew Kelly has identified Seven Pillars of Catholic
Spirituality: Confession, Contemplation, Mass, Scripture,
Fasting, Spiritual Reading, the Rosary. How many of
these are pillars in your life? Consider renewing your
efforts to make continuous spiritual improvement through
small, incremental changes in your life. Matthew Kelly
reminds us that great things must be sought with

Does our Church database have your family membership
record correct? Here is your chance to update your record
for Holy Infant’s annual Guide Book and Directory (if you
haven’t already done so). It is time for us to update our
database with any changes, additions, or deletions that may
have occurred in your family over the past year.
Have you changed your phone number? Have you
moved? Are you preparing to move soon? Are all of your
children still at home and are they all included in your
membership record? Do you NOT want your record
published?
If you have not already informed the parish office about
changes to your record, please let us know now so that
the information in the next Guide Book and Directory will
be correct. Call the parish office at (636) 227-7440.

We are in the process of updating Holy Infant’s annual
Guide Book and Directory. This book will be the Who,
What, Where, When, Why and How of our Parish. The
book is being provided at no cost to our Church, including
the mailing to each family, and again is being subsidized
by local businesses that advertise in it. If you own or
manage a business and would like to find out about
advertising in our book, please call the parish office, (636)
227-7440, during office hours. Survey results by Guide
Book Publishing show that 92% of families would rather
patronize a Guide Book and Directory advertiser over a
non-advertiser. “It will pay you” to advertise in our next
Guide Book and Directory.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the
Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
HOLY INFANT PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION
REGISTRATION 2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR
Welcome to the 2015-2016 PSR school year at Holy Infant Parish. We look forward to working closely with you to
help provide a Christ-filled school year for all the PSR students of the parish. Please know that as parents you are
invaluable to this program. We recognize that you are the first teachers of your children and that no one knows
them better or loves them more than you do. It is our goal, therefore, to work with you to support the faith
formation of your child.
The spirit of this ongoing program is to empower our children to live out their baptismal call and give witness to
the Gospel by fostering their love of Jesus Christ. The Holy Infant PSR program accomplishes this in active
cooperation with the children’s parents who are the primary religious educators. We strive to nurture each child
and each family in the knowledge and love of God in order to enrich their faith life and to enable them to live out
their call to stewardship in the community.
Our program is designed to assist parents by offering weekly instruction to children in grades first through eighth
by catechists who teach and witness the teachings and life of Jesus. In our program the children are educated in
the Catholic tradition, Scripture, and Church teachings in areas such as respect for life and social justice.
Our PSR program attempts to balance the religious instruction (message) with the experiences of Catholic
community, service, and worship throughout the year. It attempts to meet the needs and understanding of all
children and families, recognizing that there are varying degrees of catechetical background, understanding, and
experiences. We strive to inform our children and families in the basics of the Catholic faith; assist the parents in
forming the children’s ongoing spiritual development; and finally to be an instrument in transforming these
children into Catholic Christian citizens with a strong faith on which to base their future spiritual growth, and to
enable them to be evangelizers to the communities in which they will live. All that is accomplished by the grace of
the Holy Spirit.
Register now in the Parish School of Religion Office.
Registration continues until May 29, 2015 without a late fee.
After May 29, 2015 there is a late fee.
We do charge a fee in order to provide the best catechetical program for your children, but we must stress that we
want all children to be able to avail themselves of a religious education and will work with parents who may be
struggling financially to accomplish that. A parent or guardian must come to register his/her child(ren); and if you
have a child entering first grade or are new to the program, we ask that you provide us a copy of your child’s
Baptismal certificate and birth certificate. You may register on Monday as we have class from 4-8 p.m. or you
may call for an appointment and time that works best for you.
Classes are filled on a first-come first-serve basis. Registering on time will allow you a choice of class
times and usually our 4:30 p.m. session fills up quickly. After the 29th of May 2015 we will be unable to guarantee
you a time preference.

men who hold retreats 2 times a year at the Menard State
Prison in Illinois. The intent of the retreat is to bring the
message of Jesus and Christianity to these men. It has
been successful!
One of the actions Kairos provides is Christian literature to
the men. If anyone is interested in supporting this ministry
through a donation, please write your check to Kairos
Prison Ministry. Donations are tax deductible and we can
provide a receipt. Send your check to either:
