Come Holy Spirit fill the hearts
of Your faithful and kindle in
us the fire of Your Love. Send
forth Your Spirit and we shall
be created and You shall
renew the face of the earth.
On Divine Mercy Sunday, April 12th, we celebrate the
unending mercy of Jesus Christ as written in the revelations
of St. Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938), an uneducated Polish
nun. The message is nothing new, but is a reminder of what
the Church has always taught through Sacred Scripture and
Tradition: that God is merciful and forgiving, and that we,
too, must show mercy and forgiveness.
The Macon parishes of Holy Spirit,
St. Joseph, and St. Peter Claver will
have a joint celebration of Divine Mercy
Sunday at St. Joseph on Poplar St in
Macon, beginning at 1:15 p.m. on
Sunday, April 12th with the Sacrament
of Reconciliation followed by the Divine
Mercy Chaplet. “Blessed are the
merciful, for they will be shown
mercy.” Mt. 5:7
If you have had any changes in your family please take time to update our

church home, and you are not registered please fill out a green registration
form, located on the tables in the narthex, and drop it in the collection basket.
This is the holiest and most important week in our entire Catholic liturgical year. Please make every

Our parish, once a year on Good Friday, is called on to support Christians in the Holy Land. Many Christians in the
Holy Land depend on the collection for their lives. Franciscans and others in the Holy Land are housing and feeding
the poor, providing religious formation and education, maintaining shrines and parishes, and conducting pastoral
ministry. For more information, visit MyFranciscan.org/good-Friday. The Good Friday Collection is requested by the
Holy Father.
Please be as generous as your abundance allows.

The Old Testament, especially the Book of
Isaiah, foretold that the Messiah would have to
suffer and die. During this Holy Week, look up
these passages and see how they can be
applied to Jesus. Read Isaiah 49, 50 & 52.
