Our Catholic Schools were blessed for many years
with “Living Endowments” of sisters, priests, and
brothers. Through their lifelong service and contributions, they
endowed our Catholic Schools. Today Catholic Schools are
challenged to provide even greater educational and ministerial
programs than ever before with annual budgets growing larger and
larger.
Meeting these needs requires financial resources. The future of
Catholic Education in Mitchell lies in the building of endowments
through planned giving strategies. Planned giving will give us
confidence for the future of our John Paul II School, Faith Formation
Programs, and Parishes. Endowments and major gifts through
planned giving will build up our “savings accounts” to sustain these
opportunities for generations to come.
Development is a ministry. I am here to help you create a
stewardship plan to share the treasures in which God has provided.
Rosary Facilitator needed to lead the Rosary on the

Easter Sunday celebrates one of the greatest
days in history - when Jesus, the Son of God,
defeated death and rose from the grave. Happy
Easter to all our friends and families of John Paul II School!
We are blessed to have the Mitchell High School Friend de
Coup Show Choir perform for us in the MPR on April 8. What a
wonderful example of musical talent to expose our students.
We will have Snack Shack beginning on Wednesday, April 8.
Students have done well giving up the extra snacks from the Snack
Shack during Lent, but they’ll be happy to have it back again.
The 6th grade class is putting their business skills to work this
week by setting up several businesses at the Economics Fair from

you can join us for this fun annual event.
Our 4H and 1O classes will plan the school Mass for this week.
We would like you to join us and celebrate the Mass with us at

Chad Haag Family Benefit Breakfast, sponsored by the Knights
of Columbus, to be held on Sunday, April 19, 9am-12:30pm, in
JPII Gym. The Haag Family lost their home to a fire last December.
A Family Perspective by Bud Ozar: That first Easter morning
was confusing. Jesus was missing and Mary Magdalene,
Peter, and John “did not know” what to do. In family life
there are confusing moments when “we don’t know” what
to do. Like the apostles, we are Easter people when we
believe and trust in each other even when all seems lost.
