Prayer List Policy

Want to Grow in Holiness, But Too Busy?
Want to transform your work, your marriage, your family,
and your life, but don’t have time? Looking for the quickest,
surest, and easiest way to holiness, but don’t
know where to begin? In our hectic day and
time, Saint Pope John Paul II and Blessed
Mother Teresa knew that the quickest way to
be transformed into a saint is through a
relationship with Our Blessed Mother, Mary.
This past New Year’s weekend, 45 members
of our parish made their consecration to
Jesus through Mary.
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND — the Legion of
Mary is pleased to announce plans for a second retreat.
Please join us on Thursday, April 23 from 7:00—8:30 pm,
as we begin our 2nd Marian Consecration Retreat. For six
weeks we’ll individually read about and reflect on four great
Marian giants: St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximilian Kolbe,
Blessed Mother Teresa, and St. Pope John Paul II. They’ll
teach us the secrets to drawing closer to the Heart of Jesus
through the Heart of Mary. If you’re looking for a simple
way to be spiritually renewed, develop a deeper relationship
with Our Merciful Savior, and grow in holiness, join us for
33 Days to Morning Glory Retreat.
There is no monetary cost to you….. just a cost of
personal time for Jesus and our Blessed Mother Mary!
The Legion of Mary will be in the narthex to answer any
questions you may have, or contact Linda Chirbas at
630.567.9161 or [email protected] for more
information about this spiritual growth opportunity.

April 12, 2015
Established in 1981, the National Evangelization
Team (NET) has been training young adults for
Catholic evangelistic ministry across the United
States. NET's peer-to-peer approach for introducing
today's teens to a personal faith encounter with
Jesus has created a ripple effect: as more teens are
impacted by the message of the Gospel of Jesus, they
have a strong desire to share that newfound
discovery with others
Our parish will have the opportunity to send 4 of
our own teens who are courageous enough to
respond to Jesus' invitation to do just this: Jake
Bartley, Luke Billing, Kristen Harrison and
Katherine Severt will go to the NET Center in West
Saint Paul, Minnesota, to join 150 other young
adults from across the country for formation in
Christian discipleship and Catholic evangelization
techniques. Next weekend, parishioners will have
the opportunity to meet these young people at all of
the weekend Masses; they will come and share with
us about their upcoming opportunity and ways that
our parish community can be a part of it with them

On leaving the earth, O Lord, You wanted to stay with us,
and so You left us Yourself in the Sacrament of the Altar,
and You opened wide Your mercy to us.
In the Blessed Sacrament, You left us Your mercy.
Here is the living fountain of Your mercy.
Here souls receive consolation and refreshment.
You have called us to this fountain of love,
to this spring of God’s compassion.
Here is the tabernacle of Your mercy,
here is the remedy for all our ills.
To You, O living spring of mercy, all souls are drawn;
some like deer, thirsting for Your love,
others to wash the wound of their sins,
and still others, exhausted by life, to draw strength.
