Sample real Tape to tap file 1541 Ultimate II
Before you start: Make sure the tape works on the c64 that you are going to the tape sample from. And have the jumpers set as Read Pass Through on Ultimate II Tape Extender r
Here the tape I have chosen to sample Confuzion 1. Rewind the tap to begining. 2 Load the game as usual and take note of count number it has stopped at 3 turn off c64 and on again rewind tape again. 4 press the middle button on 1541 Ultimate II On my USB pen I have created a TapeCapture folder 5 Now Press F5 on the c64 And select Sample tape to TAP 6 A box appears asking me for name of tap file I enter Confuzion and then press enter 7 now press play on tape
NOTE The screen has no output looks like the c64 is waiting But the 1541 Ultimate II is doing the work You should see activity light as its writing to the USB pen or SD 9. When the tape counter reaches the number you took down early Stop the tape and press the middle button on the 1541 Ultimate II This will ask you to end tape capture select Yes. If all went well you should a new tap file. Testing tap file:
I disconnect the tape drive Select tap file to load Now select start tape Now press the run stop key Now press shift and run stop to load game Found confusion comes up this is now loading from the 1541 Ultimate II Game Loading Game loaded and runs correctly
