We had a great start to the year with the Powhiri to welcome all the new Year 9 students and the new international and exchange students.
This has been one of our best summers for many years so we all enjoyed a beautiful day to enjoy meeting everyone. We welcomed new
students from Germany, Austria, Japan, Switzerland and Finland. We will also be welcoming a new student from China during the term.
A highlight at the start of the year is our international BBQ held on Keeling’s farm. All the international and exchange students along
with their host families and some of our local students enjoy being on the farm down at the lake and being towed behind the boat on the
ski biscuit. Cooking at the BBQ is also a first for many students. The BBQ was so popular that a second BBQ was held two weeks later
on the farm which was requested by the students! Photos at end of newsletter taken on the Central North Island trip (5 days). Great time!
