AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE CADETS 3 WING HEADQUARTERS Service Knowledge Competition Rules 2015 General 1. Each Squadron may field one team. 2. Each team is to consist of four members, all from the same Squadron. Teams must adhere to the following composition: a. Team Member 1 – any cadet between the ranks of CDT and CUO; b. Team Member 2 – any cadet between the ranks of CDT and CFSGT; and c. Team Members 3 and 4 – any cadet of the rank CDT or LCDT. Test Format 3. The test will consist of a slide show with 20 questions. Each question will be shown on the screen for 60 seconds. Each question will only be shown once. 4. Questions will be taken from the SKR, SKB and SKA syllabuses, as well the history of the AAFC/AIRTC and the RAAF. 5. Each team is to appoint a captain/scribe who is to write the answers for each question. The team will be allowed to confer prior to recording their answer. 6. The competition will consist of a series of short answer questions. There will be no long answer questions. 7. Each question will be worth one mark; judges may decide to award half-marks for partially correct answers. 8. Marks will not be deducted for incorrect answers. 9. In the event of a tie for first place, the tied teams will sit a tiebreaker test. If there is still a tie after the tiebreaker, then the tied teams will be declared joint winners. 10. Teams are to present to the competition area NLT 10 minutes prior to their designated start time. Teams who have not arrived by their designated start time will forfeit their right to participate in the competition. Preparation 11. It is suggested that teams consult the following references as well as any other resources they have on hand in order to prepare their themselves for the competition: a.
