PRAYER SEEDS
May he support us all the day long, till the shades
lengthen and the evening comes, and the busy
world is hushed and the fever of life is over and our
world is done. Then in His mercy, may he give us a
safe lodging and a holy rest, and peace at the last.
Bl. John H. Newman

I Didn’t Know That!
See, everyday, you can learn
something new [about your
Catholic Faith].
The word “baptism” comes from the Greek word
for immersion, and, where feasible, the Church
encourages its ministers to use the full symbolic
action when initiating a new Christian.

A Good Old Prayer
Calm the waves of this heart, O God; calm its tempests.
Calm yourself, O my soul, so that God is able to rest in
you, so that God’s peace may cover you. Yes, You give
us peace, O God, peace that the whole world can never
take away. S. Kierkegaard

Reconciliation Monday
Monday, March 30th – 3:00-8:00 PM
Sophia,
ChurchMouse
Did you hear what the Pope Francis said about
children at last Wednesday’s papal audience? Our
cousin, Gertrude, on duty at the Vatican, sends us
this quote: “Children remind us of another beautiful
thing as well: We are always sons and daughters.
Even when one is an adult or elderly, even when
you become parents or have a position of
responsibility, you are still a son or daughter,” he
said. “This brings us back to the fact that we did not
give ourselves to life, but received the gift of life.”
How deep is that?! Never forget there’s “a little
boy,” or “a little girl” inside each of us, no matter our
age. Is that how God looks at us? Is that part of the
reason he cannot refuse to love each of us
unconditionally. I think so. Aw!

*
In conjunction with other parishes throughout the
Archdiocese, Holy Trinity will participate in
Reconciliation Monday: priests will be available for
confession on Mar. 30th, 3:00 to 8:00 PM. Celebrate
God’s mercy. It’s a great thing to hear about God’s
merciful love, even better to experience it. No matter
how long since your last confession – weeks, years,
even decades – there is no time like the start of Holy
Week to know the mercy of God in the Sacrament of
Penance. Seize this moment of grace – bring a friend!
Lunes de Reconciliación: Celebre la misericordia de
Dios.

Report from the Finance Council

The Finance Council is grateful for the response to
our January appeal for parishioners to increase
the regularity and amount of their contributions to
Holy Trinity. We are happy to report that twentytwo families have become new ParishPay users,
so our total is now 115, an increase of nearly 25%.
Thank you! (And for those who are considering
using ParishPay, you can sign up at
www.parishpay.org.) We will begin reporting the
contribution received from ParishPay on a
monthly basis starting after Easter.

Dios te salve, anunciación, morena
de maravilla,
tendrás un Hijo más bello
que los tallos de la brisa.
Mensaje de Dios te traigo.
El te saluda, María, pues
Dios se prendó de ti,
y Dios es Dios de alegría.
Llena de gracia te llamo
porque la gracia te llena; si
más te pudiera dar,
mucha más gracia te diera.
El Señor está contigo aún
más que tú estás con Dios; tu
carne ya no es tu carne,
tu sangre ya es para dos.
Y bendita vas a ser entre
todas las mujeres,
pues, si eres madre de
todos, ¿quién podría no
quererte? (Federico García
Lorca)
