Our mission is to turn gently used items into dollars to do God’s work in our community
May 10th is Mother’s Day. Hunting for something special for your mom? Find a book by her favorite author or a h
relaxing music CD to let her escape awhile. Jewelry is always appreciated or perhaps you can find a cute blouse,
pants and sunhat. If you have a special request, ask one of our wonderful volunteers to help you.
Did you know the Book Nook has a Classical Books section? Is Shakespeare or Jane Erye on your list? We also
have sections on finance, business, history, health, military, women’s issues and many more. Stop by and browse.
Summer and swimming are not far away. Our volunteers have worked hard to fill the swimsuit section with a variety of sizes and styles. Why pay $80 to $100 for a suit? Our suits are usually under $10.
We bid good-bye to our winter visitors and volunteers. Have a great summer in cooler climates. Thank you for
your support this winter. You help us be successful.
Dear Church family who
came and sang this
morning in your outreach service. You offered your voices to fill
the room with God’s
love. Thanks to each one
of you for your Godly
service. It was enjoyed
by all!

Music Ministry
Easter lasts 40 days: from Easter Sunday to Pentecost. Make plans to celebrate it every Sunday
throughout the season! Pentecost arrives May 24 and lasts until the end of November!

Today we celebrate Around the World Sunday! Join us for a worship service that praises
God with music from nearly every continent! The Sanctuary Choir will be on hand to help
lead the worship service before they go on summer hiatus. Thanks, choir members, for your
terrific music and your leadership in worship—enjoy your summer!
Mike Riggert-Harris and the Handbell Choir help lead worship this week, as they close their
2014-15 season and begin their summer hiatus. Thanks, all of you, for your music this year!
We have been strengthened by it!
It’s Confirmation Sunday, and the “music” you hear this morning is the sound of our confirmands presenting their faith statements. Consider what you might say if you were asked to present a faith statement at worship. Congratulations to all our confirmands!
It’s Pentecost! This morning our theme is “Hearts Afire!” as we are led by a team of musicians. Don’t forget: beginning today there are only 2 worship services on Sundays: 8:30am and
10am. We return to 3 services on Rally Day (Sept. 13).
This morning is Pastor Scott’s commissioning service, as he begins his 3-month sabbatical.
Plans are still in progress—but come and see what we’re doing!
Don’t miss our Summer Music Series, with
ensembles and soloists presenting anthems
throughout the summer. Join us at worship (8:30
or 10am) whenever you’re in town this summer!
