Our mission is to alleviate the poverty of Haitian farmers and rural microentrepreneurs in a sustainable way in regards to the improvement of their livelihoods and food security conditions. Our mission is to promote farmers’ association and spread the most sustainable farming methods for alleviating poverty To reduce the complacent behavior and encourage the entrepreneurial culture To build capacity and empower rural entrepreneurs for their selfreliance To spread Biblical values while helping vulnerable people rise out of poverty. In IFOSuD we believe that discipleship is the basic component through which social change can occur. SERVING CIRCLES In an effort to provide coordination and equality in the area of serving, we have three circles that rotate in the duties of setting-up, serving, and cleanup. If you are not on a serving circle and would like to be, or you would be willing to provide food, please contact Gaylene Johnson. LADIES EVENTS Ladies, we will be doing some thrifting in Fargo on Saturday, March 7. For anyone interested in carpooling let’s meet at the church at 9am. Any questions please contact Ashley Boulais. This event is on our Facebook page; if you are not on this group and would like to be, please let Ashley know. FCYF Our District Youth Conference is March 27-29 in Aberdeen, SD. Cost is $85 for students and $40 for parents (does not include lunches and suppers). Packets are available at the info table in the foyer. Talk to Pastor Brandon if you are interested in attending by Wednesday, February 25. POLAND TRIP Mayville State University Cru is preparing to take their first ever mission trip. We will be going to Warsaw, Poland to work with one of our missionaries from Riverside and a former student from MSU, Piotrek (Poppi) Paprocki. Poppi is a missionary with Athletics in Action, which is a part of the Campus Crusade organization. He and his wife, Heidi and their 3 children work with coaches and students in Warsaw. Our team is now assembled and consists of: Lloyd, Linda and Zach Arnegard, Brooke McNary, Sam Johnson, Liza Hoglo, Alicia Loiland, and Kody Keysor. We are working on raising the funds for this mission experience. We will be going over MSU spring break which is March 14-22, 2015. If you have any questions or would like to be a part of our fundraising efforts, please contact Lloyd or Linda. There will be a fundraiser at the Grand Forks Pizza Ranch on Feb. 23, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Pizza Ranch will donate 20% of your bill and 100% of tips/donations will go directly to supporting the costs to Poland.
