HUNGARIAN WIREHAIRED VIZSLA ASSOCIATION GUNDOG WORKING TEST – 16 May 2015, prompt 9am start For breeds that hunt, point and retrieve (Held under the Rules and Regulations of the Kennel Club) To be held at: THE TUNLEY SHOOT By kind permission of Mr Stephen Jones SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 6TH 2014 AT 8.45AM FOR A PROMPT 9.00AM START Tests SPECIAL BEGINNERS Judge: Mr. Richard May PUPPY Judge: Mr. Simon Kirby For dogs and handlers who have not entered more than two KC working tests and have not won a first in Special beginners or an award in any classified class. Training and help will be given. Confined to dogs / bitches less than 18 months of age on the date of the test. NOVICE DOG/ NOVICE HANDLER Judges: Mr. Andrew Farley NOVICE Judges: Mr. Paul Bradley and Mr. Lee Loveridge OPEN Judge: Murray Wakeham Confined to dogs over 18 months of age. Neither dog nor handler to have been placed 1-4 in a working test, special beginners and puppy accepted. Advice will be given. For dogs / bitches which have not gained a Field Trial Award or COM, or 1st, 2nd or 3rd in an Open GWT or First in a Novice GWT held in accordance with KC Regulations Open to all HPR Dogs/Bitches. Cold game may be used WATER Judge: Mr Nigel Wroe We reserve the right to add or alter judges should it prove necessary on the day. It should be noted that: 1.This site is a working shoot and there is lots of game around so dogs must be kept on their leads at all times unless competing. 2. It is a large site offering excellent hunting but cannot be driven around so come prepared to walk to each test! 3. If water levels are low swimming will be limited but some retrieves will also be set over water to cover this element. 4. You must pick up after your dog in the parking and exercise area and remove waste from site. 5. Handlers may enter more than one dog providing that they take responsibility for getting to the tests promptly. 6. Entry fees will not be collected in the event of cancellation. 7. Entries will only be accepted from Gundogs registered at the Kennel Club in the Gundog Group. 8. Bitches in season should not be brought to the ground. 9. Excessive disciplining of dogs may result in disqualification. 10. Please bring your own refreshments and water for your dogs as there is no tap on site. All persons attending do so at their own risk. Neither the HWVA nor the hosts or landowners will accept liability for any accident, illness, loss or injury to dogs, owners, handlers, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever. There will be no entries on the day. THE RETURN OF THE DUMMY CHALLENGE After our first dummy competition last year we will be holding another dummy throwing challenge to raise money for our rescue. This competition will take place throughout the day and requires both accuracy and distance. You may have as many goes as you like with prizes kindly donated by Sporting Saint who have given a pack of dummies for best overall, best woman and best child aged 14 or under. Get in training now! After about 500 metres turn left towards Lansdown (bath race course} and at the T junction turn left (T junction on top of hill). Stay on this road for about a 1 mile then turn right towards Weston (Just past the end of the Bath Race Course after pub). When you get to Weston turn left at the roundabout, drive about 300 metres past the shop and take the 1st turn on the right. At the T junction turn left. Go about 500 meters and turn right (very sharp turn back on yourself). At T junction go right on to the A4 towards Bristol. At the traffic lights turn right up to the roundabout then take the 2nd exit A39 towards Corston. Follow this for 3 miles going straight across at the Traffic lights staying on the A39. At the next set on Traffic lights bare left still on the A39 go past the New Inn (pub). After about 150 metres turn left on to the Timsbury Rd (Signs will be out from this point) follow this for about 2 miles. At Crossroads turn Left going through Timsbury. Stay on this road until the mine roundabout. Go straight over and in 50 Metres turn left onto Parkway lane. Follow this to the site. Park as directed on the left side of the field post code for house is BA2 0NU.
