Symbolism of our Stained Glass Windows – All
parishioners are invited to come to the church on
Thurs., Apr. 9th from 7 – 8 pm to join with Generations
of Faith in learning about our stained glass windows
and the meaning behind their symbolism. We invite all
to come over to Waldeisen Hall for snacks and to view
the video presentation by Fr. Robert Barron.
Baptism Class – This class is required for all parents
seeking Baptism for their child. The next class will be
Tues., Apr. 21st at 7 pm in Hitch Hall.
Life in the Spirit Seminar – Apr. 18th, 1 – 10 pm &
Apr. 19th, 6:30 – 9:30 pm, Hitch Hall. Reserve a seat
now for an unique opportunity that only comes once a
year and includes uplifting speakers, praise & worship,
healing service & fellowship. Dinner served Saturday
after the 5:30 pm Mass. Cost: $10 / person, $15 / 2

Easter Message From Our Pastor
“Christ has Risen!” is the Easter greeting among all Eastern Christians. There is an expected response: “Indeed, He has
Risen!” Among Eastern Christians, Easter is not about a day, but about a person, Jesus Christ. Unlike our Western
greeting, “Happy Easter!” the Eastern Christian greeting demands a response; a response not just to a day, or even a
salutation, but to the Person of Jesus Christ, Risen from the dead. Easter must thus be personal for all Christians, East or
West. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the most important historical event since the Creation of the
universe by God the Father; an act effected through His Eternal Word, The Word Who took on a human nature, Jesus
Christ. Easter, then, is about our response to the Faith and Fact of the Risen Christ. Through Baptism and the Holy
Spirit, we have been indelibly marked with the wounds of His Passion and the power of His Resurrection. We are a
people of the past, the present and future described by the Resurrection – a people identified by the person of Christ, the
history of His triumph over death, His continuing formation of a people in His image, drawing them to an eternal
destiny. We affirm this identity through the sanctification of the first day of the week, Sunday, as the Day of
Resurrection each week of the year. It is the Holy Eucharist which renews this fact and this mystery in us every day of
the year. Let this day and season of Easter be our theme, our reason, our identity, our purpose for what we do and how
we measure what’s worthwhile throughout the year. Christ is Risen! Indeed, He is Risen.
STEWARDSHIP THOUGHTS
Alleluia He is Risen! The one who came to save &
set us free has conquered the grave and the cross has
become an instrument of victory. What does this good
news mean to you? How does it impact your daily
life? It should mean everything and it should impact
all that you do & say because Jesus suffered, died
and rose for each of us. He endured incomprehensible
pain and agony for you and for every person of the
human race that ever was, is or will be in centuries to
come. Through His life, death and resurrection He
opened the gates of heaven that we might have
everlasting life. The Catechism tells us, “From the
first moment of his Incarnation the Son embraces the
Father’s plan of divine salvation in his redemptive
mission: ‘My food is to do the will of Him who sent
me, and to accomplish His work.’” (606) That work of
salvation was accomplished on the cross. How do we
show our gratitude to our Lord? We can, as Christ
did, live our lives in humble service of others, to worship
and give thanks, to be fed by word and sacrament
and to use our time talent and treasure to build up
the Body of Christ and share the Good News!
