TELECOMMUNTCATTONS AND TNFORMATION WORKTNG GROUP (APEC TEL 51)
Dear APEC TEL Colleagues,
The lnformation and Communications Technology Office of the Department of Science and
Technology is pleased to invite you to APEC TEL 51 which will be held on May 11-16, 2015. The
meeting venue will be in Paradise Garden, Station 3, Manggayad, Boracay lsland, Malay, Aklan.
for us as the APEC TEL Strategic Action Plan 2Ot6-2020 will be first
presented in this meeting after its endorsement in the recently concluded LOth APEC
Telecommunications and lnformation Ministerial Meeting (TELMIN 10). Moreover, several
workshops and roundtable discussions will be held as part of APECTEL 51 as you can see in the
attached tentative program.
This meeting is important
all member economies to attehd this meeting for us to achieve our common vision
of establishing an ICT ecosystem that is characterized by an integrated, seamless, secure,
trusted and innovative ICT infrastructure, services and applications; widespread use of ICT in all
sectors; and improved ICT skills and digital literacy which will enable APEC to attain regional
economic integration, economic transformation and growth, and physical, institutional and
people-to-people con nectivity.
