IICA conducts Training Programme for Independent Directors
The School of Corporate Governance and Public Policy, IICA, conducted a
Training Programme for Independent Directors on March 27, 2015 at Alstom
India Ltd. and Alstom T&D India Ltd., Noida.
The capacity development programme focused on skill development and
awareness generation w.r.t the new regulations and consequent impact on the
Board members in order to enable them to contribute effectively to the board’s
functioning.
The training programme focused on three integral areas of development for
Independent Directors including What Boards do, Functions, Roles and
Challenges of Independent Directors in Audit Committee & Accountability and
Liability of Independent Directors.
The programme was conducted by Dr.Asish K Bhattacharyya, Professor and
Head, School of Corporate Governance & Public Policy and Dr.Garima
Dadhich, Assistant Professor from the School of Corporate Governance &
Public Policy, IICA.
The programme was well received by the participants who found it beneficial
and informative.
