Dear Candidate,
It is our pleasure to intimate you and your parents that you are invited for counseling and
provisional admission under NRI/NRI Sponsored category to B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) & B.Com.,
LL.B. (Hons.) Programme starting from 6th July 2015. The counseling is scheduled as per the

Attending the counseling does not give the candidate any right to admission and the same
shall be strictly subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria, verification of supporting
documents and availability of seats in the desired programme.
Detailed procedure for completing admission procedure at the time of counseling:
Qualified candidates are required to submit THREE sets of attested photocopy of the below
mentioned documents. You are also required to bring original documents for verification at the
time of counseling.
1. School leaving certificate/Transfer Certificate showing date of birth
2. S. S. C. mark sheet
3. Marks sheet of the qualifying examination (10+2).
4. Character certificate from the institution last attended.
5. Three passport size photographs
6. Passport of Self / Parent / NRI/NRI sponsored (As applicable)
7. NOTARIZED AFFIDAVIT from sponsoring person (As per enclosed Proforma)
8. Migration certification (if applicable).
9. Invitation Letter for counseling session (download copy of this letter)
10. Filled-in Registration Form (download from the website)
The candidate who has passed the qualifying examination from any Board other than Gujarat
State Secondary Education Board, he/she will be required to obtain eligibility certificate from
Nirma University. The arrangement for obtaining the same will be made at the time of Admission
on the spot on payment of Rs.500/- (in cash only).
Kindly Note:
 The parents are expected to accompany the candidates for counseling session. However, in
case of any genuine reasons, if candidates and/or the parents are not able to come personally,
they can send their representative with an authority letter, wherein the preference to
admission in the programmes [B.A., LL.B (Hons.) & B.Com. LL.B.(Hons.)] should be
clearly mentioned. They should also bring the requisite original documents with attested
copies and a draft of the prescribed fees to be submitted at the time of counseling.
 The preference of B.A.,LL.B. (Hons.) & B.Com.,LL.B.(Hons.) Programme will be decided at
the time of counseling based on the merit and availability of the seats in the respective
programme at the time of your turn.

* Rate of US$ will be as per the date of admission, however if a candidate comes with DD of
earlier date i.e., date before admission, then, the he/she is required to bring the letter of bank for
applicable dollar rate of the date on which DD was drawn.
The fees are to be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Institute of Law,
Nirma University” payable at Ahmedabad at the time of counseling. It shall be presumed
that if the candidate [or representative] fails to remain present at the time of counseling
along with the requisite documents and the prescribed fees ($7,000:00 + Rs.14,400/-), he/she
is relinquishing his/her right for admission at Institute of Law, Nirma University.
Bus fees: The University, through Nirma Education and Research Foundation(NERF), will be
providing bus facilities to the students who shall be residing in different parts of the
city(Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar). Those who wish to avail the bus facility will have to pay the
amount towards that facility as per following, depending upon the distance.

The bus fee is to be paid in favour of Nirma Education and Research Foundation payable at
Ahmedabad at the time of Orientation (6th July 2015)
Important Notes:
 For all the students, it is compulsory to maintain minimum 85% attendance in all courses.
 Institute of Law has prescribed dress code to be worn 3 days a week and on all the events
organized by the Institute.
 The University does not permit use of cell phones on campus.
 Ragging & Sexual Harrassment, in any form is prohibited and is also punishable by law.
 Your Parents should impress on you their obligation in this regard before deciding to send you
for admission to Nirma Institute of Law. The Faculty would be doing their best to mould the
career of every student in a manner that the University can justifiably be proud of. In this effort,
constant and continuing support of the parents is necessary.
