Inclusion Melbourne invites you to attend the following learning opportunity Generously supported by City of Glen Eira Community Services Grants “Understanding Choice” Supporting a person with a disability to make informed choice This session will focus on the “It’s My Choice!” toolkit that was developed by Inclusion Melbourne in partnership with RMIT. The toolkit looks at choice as a concept and the ways in which we can assist the people we support to make informed choices. The latest techniques that can be used to ensure people have informed choice How individuals can assist in the choice making process, through involvement with a Circle of Support. He has worked in the disability sector for eight years and is currently studying a Master of Communication at RMIT. Nathan worked with a wide range of organisations and academics in writing, collating and editing the “It’s My Choice!” toolkit in 2013. He has contributed to several publications and submissions during his four years at Inclusion Melbourne, particularly in relation to the incoming National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). About Alice Alice Nicholas is a Project Officer at Inclusion Melbourne. She has worked in the disability sector for seven years and has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Disability Studies and a Bachelor of Education at RMIT. Alice has worked at the Office of the Public Advocate, the Department of Human Services and other Community Service Organisation supporting people with disabilities and their families. Alice coordinates the Circles of Support program at Inclusion Melbourne.
