Be Thou My Vision
trad. Irish melody/arr. H. Sorenson
Be Thou my vision, oh Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best thought, (Thou my best thought,)
Thou my best thought, (Thou my best thought,)
Thou my best thought, by day or by night;
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light,
(You shine in the night). Thy presence my light.
You shine in the night.
4
Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise
Thou mine inheritance, now and always
Thou and Thou only, (the first in my heart,)
Thou and Thou only, (my treasure Thou art.)
Thou and Thou only, the first in my heart.
Blessed Redeemer, my treasure Thou Art!
High King of heaven, my victory won!
May I reach Heaven’s joys, oh bright heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my vision, (still be my light)
And You will still be my vision. (shine in the night)
Be Thou my vision, O Ruler of all.
Be Thou my Light when I walk through the night.

Musical Offering:
He’s Always Been Faithful
W. M. Runyan/arr. B. Wolaver
additional words and music by S. Groves
Morning by morning I wake up to find
The power and comfort of God’s hand in mine.
Season by season I watch Him, amazed
In awe of the mystery of His perfect ways.
All I have need of, His hand will provide.
He’s always been faithful to me.
I can’t remember a trial or a pain
He did not recycle to bring me gain.
I can’t remember one single regret
In serving God only, and trusting His hand.
All I have need of, His hand will provide
He’s always been faithful to me.
5
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed, Thy hand hath provided.
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me.
This is my anthem, and this is my song
The theme of the stories I’ve heard for so long.
God has been faithful, He will be again
His loving compassion, it knows no end.
All I have need of, His hand will provide.
He’s always been faithful to me.
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father. He’s always been faithful to me, faithful to me.

The Old Hundredth Psalm Tune setting by R. Vaughan Williams
All people that on earth do dwell, sing to the Lord with cheerful voice;
Him serve with fear, His praise forth tell, come ye before Him and rejoice.
The Lord, ye know, is God indeed, without our aid he did us make;
We are His flock, He doth us feed, and for His sheep He doth us take.
(choir and instruments only)
O enter then His gates with praise, approach with joy His courts unto;
Praise, laud, and bless His name always, for it is seemly so to do.
For why? The Lord our God is good; His mercy is forever sure;
His truth at all times firmly stood, and shall from age to age endure.
(choir and congregation)
To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, the God Whom heaven and earth adore,
From men and from the angel host be praise and glory evermore. Amen.
Festive Praise
A. Pote
Sing to the Lord a song of praise, a wonderful, marvelous song.
Sing to the Lord with joy in your heart, a wonderful, marvelous song.
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, amen.
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, amen.
Come, come rejoice,
as you sing you will lift up your voices in praise and thanksgiving to God.
Sing all of the heavens, sing of the glory of God.
Sing all of the earth, rejoice!
Sing of the glory, the marvelous glory of God.
Sing to the Lord a song of praise, a wonderful, marvelous song.
Sing to the Lord with joy in your heart, a wonderful, marvelous song.
Sing a new song with the lute and the harp.
Make melody with the sound of the lyre.
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises,
Rejoice and be glad for the Lord is our God.
9
Sing to the Lord a song of praise, a wonderful, marvelous song.
Sing to the Lord with joy in your heart, a wonderful, marvelous song.
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, amen
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, amen.
When I Survey the Wondrous Cross
I. Watts/arr. G. M. Martin
When I survey the wondrous cross on which the Prince of glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss, and pour contempt on all my pride.
Forbid it Lord, that I should boast, save in the death of Christ, my God:
All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood.
See, from His head, His hands, His feet, sorrow and love flow mingled down:
Did e’er such love and sorrow meet, or thorns compose so rich a crown?
Were the whole realm of nature mine, that were a present far too small;
Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.
Great Is Our God/To God Be the Glory
setting by C. Courtney/W. H. Doane
text from Psalm 66/F. Crosby
Shout with joy, all the earth.
Make a joyful noise, all ye lands.
Sing forth the glory of His name for great is our God!
Behold the works of the Lord;
His deeds on our behalf.
Let the sound of His praise be heard abroad for great is our God!
He has preserved our lives. He has kept our feet on dry ground.
Let us rejoice in Him, for great is our God!
He has tested us, he has refined us as silver,
For great is His love.
Let us rejoice in our God.
(Congregation please join in)
To God be the glory, great things he hath done.
So loved he the world that He gave us his son
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the lifegate that all may go in.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear his voice,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice.
Oh come to the Father, through Jesus the Son
And give Him the glory, great things he hath done.
Oh praise Him, Oh praise the Lord.

The Majesty and Glory of Your Name setting by Tom Fettke
text based on Psalm 8
When I gaze into the night skies and see the work of Your fingers;
The moon and stars suspended in space.
Oh, what is man that You are mindful of him?
You have given man a crown of glory and honor,
And have made him a little lower than the angels.
You have put him in charge of all creation:
The beasts of the field, the birds of the air, the fish of the sea.
Oh, what is man?
Oh, what is man that You are mindful of him?
O Lord, our God, the majesty and glory of Your name
Transcends the earth and fills the heavens.
11
O Lord, our God; little children praise You perfectly,
And so would we. And so would we.
Alleluia, alleluia! The majesty and glory of Your name.

Join the Alliance
The Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals is a coalition of pastors,
scholars, and churchmen who hold the historic creeds and confessions
of the Reformed faith and who proclaim biblical doctrine in order to
foster a Reformed awakening in today’s Church.
The Alliance encourages Christians to band together for the defense
of doctrine, the fostering of reformation, and the glory of God.
Individuals can join the Alliance by becoming a Friend of the
Alliance. Friends of the Alliance are committed and faithful partners
in proclaiming the truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They enable
the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals to call the church to a modern
reformation. You can join us in working to reform the church of our
day with a monthly gift of just $25.
Churches may join the Alliance by becoming a subscribing and/or
supporting church. These churches not only continue to benefit from
scriptural teaching but also help others in their church, town, across
the county, and — with our website — around the world, to hear the
Word and respond.
All members stand on the mission and vision of the Alliance of
Confessing Evangelicals. They do this in order to proclaim the
Gospel, to hold up the Bible, to defend the great doctrines, to stand in
the Church, and to band together.
