Prelude | Improvisations by Marcie Swift on the harp
Message | “Judgment Day” Pastor Woody Eddins
◊Call to Worship | Psalm 100
Leader: Acclaim to the Lord all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness, and come into
God's presence with songs of joy!
People: Know that the Lord is God! It is God who has made us; we are the
sheep of God's pasture.
Leader: Enter these doors giving thanks, come into this place praising God and blessing
the name of our Lord.
People: Yes, the Lord is good. God's love is everlasting, and God is faithful
from generation to generation.
◊Hymn of Response | Jesus, the Very Thought of Thee #175
◊Opening Hymn | Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven #66
◊Opening Prayer | (unison)
Holy God, we come together to worship because we are aware that we need
you. Open our hearts to your presence in the many ways you appear to us.
Heal and challenge us by your love. Where we are caught up in our own
concerns, help us to see the needs of others—those who are hungry, thirsty,
or alone. Where we forget to give you thanks and praise, help us to remember
that you are our God and have blessed us every day of our lives. May this time
of worship give you honor and praise and lead us to serve you with all of our
lives. Amen.
