Vacancy Announcement Senior/Technical Officer The Senior/Technical Officer will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and may require extensive travelling in Asia-Pacific and beyond. Working under the overall supervision of the Director, INFOFISH will be responsible for the under mentioned activities. Key Responsibilities       Compile and analyze the articles, reports and presentations on the technical issues independently Answer queries on problem identification, sales opportunities and product availability etc. Work on identification and export promotion of fishery products from the region; Maintain the data base of exporters-producers within the region and of worldwide; Writing and reviewing articles pertaining to fisheries technology to be submitted for publication in “INFOFISH International” and other publications; Undertake other activities as assigned by the Director. Skill Requirements Essential       Post graduate degree in Fisheries /Food science/ Fish Processing Technology or related fields; 5-8 years of experience in international trade and marketing; Experience in fisheries sector; Excellent writing skills in English; National of a Member Country* of INFOFISH; and Familiarity with Information Technology. Desirable      Work experience in Fish Technology/ Aquaculture/ Aquatic Products / Seafood Industry/Food Science, Fish Processing Technology or a related field; Peer reviewed industry related publications; Experience in coordinating team work successfully; Successful project development and fundraising experience; Experience in organizing research communications and dissemination. Age Limit  45 years; might be extended in the case of highly qualified and experienced candidates or government employees/nominees from the Member Countries.
