The scope has expanded to include all age groups by the life cycle approach. This conference will provide the opportunity for stakeholders to network and share experiences to inspire excellence and improve the value of family health care in Malaysia. It will also provide participants with the opportunity to be part of the family health development by sharing their research findings and suggestions for the betterment of the health of future Malaysian families. This year’s theme on Women and Health will provide and avenue for those concerned with the health and wellness of women in Malaysia especially with the new progress on communicable and non-communicable diseases. The role of gender issues in women’s health is also addressed. Although the theme for this year’s conference is Women and Health, research on all areas of family health are welcomed. Participants will also be exposed to various methods of research in health which can assist in improving the quality of health care as well as the community. Objectives of the conference: To update participants on the current issues of family health in general, and women’s health and wellness specifically; To develop networking and communication between stakeholders and institutions; To increase the scope of research and development in the field of women’s health and wellness specifically, and family health, generally.
