Message from the President…
Welcome to Perth SC, its President Gary Marocchi, committee
members, players and supporters.
We hope that we have entertaining games today and good luck to all
players and officials.
We warmly welcome our supporters, our sponsors and our volunteers.
Last week was a low light in our opening game with a loss to Cockburn
City, we are sure that Michael Garcia has taken the players through last
weeks game and their paces this week, we look forward to
a return of quality game play from our players (something we know they
all possess) and coupled with the heart for this great club of ours.
The very best to both clubs.
WE ARE INGLEWOOD
Thank You,

1st Team
They have been well drilled
by Taki and I would expect them to be a
major contender by seasons end.
Today we welcome Taki, & Perth to
Inglewood for round 2.
It’s always a pleasure to play against
Perth as they are a strong club who are
well run, successful, and you always know
where you stand when you play them.
We played Perth in the Night Series and
were beat off the last play of the game
so we will need to be on our game to
match it with them.
Last week was an extremely disappointing
result and performance by all of us
against a lively Cockburn side, and we
are keen to bounce back and improve
our level.
Wishing all the very best to all teams
today.
On a side note I’d like to wish the group
- leaving for their tour of Spain - all the
best for the trip. I’m sure the experience
will be one they will never forget
and that they will represent Australia,
and Inglewood with pride. Enjoy the
experience and soak it all in. Best
Wishes to Goran, Dave & Luke who will
be coaching and looking after the boys.
We let ourselves and supporters of the
club down and whilst we can all have bad
days, it’s about how you react, and we are
working to improve on the areas that let
us down last week to continue to move
forward.
We have unwavering belief in our group
and need to be mindful that it may take
time to find the right combinations
within the squad as we try to establish
our identity.
Thank You,
Michael Garcia
Head Coach
Perth will be a very tough team to play
today.

Under 20’s
I would like to welcome the Members, Sponsors,
box, who rounded his defender to
finish from close range and made it
4-nil and 2 for his personal tally.
Players, Coach’s & Supporters from Inglewood
United and Perth Soccer Club to Inglewood
Stadium for the second round of the 2015 WA
NPL season.
On the 70th minute Cockburn got on the
scoring sheet with a poorly dealt with cross and
Kuser ran in on the back post to head home for
Cockburn.
This fired Cockburn up and they spent the next
five minutes pressing hard but they got caught
out when Davide Panaia found James Atkins
who hit home to make it 5-1.
Last week saw the start of the WA NPL 2015
season and the Inglewood 20’s bolted out of the
blocks with a convincing high scoring 5-3 win
over Cockburn City.
The first 20 minutes was nervy from both teams
which was to be expected due to such a long
off season and Inglewood lost Josh DeMarte
after just 18 minutes to a hamstring injury.
Ray Adolphus came on and within a minute
Inglewood went 1-nil up from a set piece. Dario
Pavic with a corner kick, found the head of Mark
Barnett who was first to the ball to header in
from just outside the 6 yard box.
Credit to Cockburn they persisted and the last
7-8 minutes they really pushed and with 5 to go
#42 Telescope, found they back of the net and
Kieswetter also found the back of the net in
the final minute of the game to make the final
score 5-3.
There is still plenty of work to be done with the
20’s squad, but with the commitment, work rate
and belief in the 20’s squad, I believe and look
forward to seeing the team and the individuals
within the team grow and strive to fulfill the
goals we have set.
After this Inglewood were in control of the
game with goal scoring opportunities falling to
James Atkins, Davide Panaia & Marc Eldridge.
But Inglewood didn’t have to wait long for the
second, with Mitch McClymans finishing from a
Marc Eldridge assist.
More opportunities feel to Inglewood only to
be denied by Cockburn Number 1 Adams.
Cockburn where left with only long range
shots, such was the strength of the Inglewood
defence.
All the best to both teams for the game & for
the 2015 season.
Regards
Andrija Petrović
Head Coach Inglewood United WA
Second half saw Inglewood continue to
dominate and on the 48th minute James Atkins
hit the back of the net from an early delivered
cross from Milan Ognjenović, making it 3-nil.
Chance after chance went begging, but on the
67 minute Mark Barnett made an attacking run
from deep in the Inglewood defence and what
proceeded was a great team combination play
that found Mitch McClymans inside the 18 yard

Under 18’s
Welcome to Inglewood Stadium for Round 2 of the 2015
NPL season.
The IUSC U18 NPL team is looking to bounce back against Perth SC
today after a disappointing result in last week’s game.
The team put in a very strong first half performance against Cockburn
SC but unfortunately did not score as many as the performance
deserved. Goals to Ryan Sardi and Kurt Kouakou put Inglewood 2-1
ahead at half time but if it weren’t for some good defending and less
than clinical finishing the lead could have been greater. The second
half saw Cockburn take a 3-2 lead and despite some strong attempts
the Inglewood team were unable to recover to secure some points.
Having tasted defeat the IUSC U18’s are determined to return to the
winning form that they showed in pre-season.With a challenging game
today against Perth SC and a tough cup game to follow on Monday
the players have been putting in the extra effort to ensure they are
well prepared. The training week has been positive with all the players
performing at a high intensity and a great desire keep developing as a
team that should bode well for a strong performance in today’s game.

Technical Director
Dear Players, IUSC Members and
Supporters,Firstly I would like to
welcome the Perth SC to Hamer
Parade and hope you enjoy our
hospitality and facilities that are on
offer throughout your visit. Ultimately
I am expecting a tough but fair football
contest throughout all the teams today.
I would like to congratulate all
players, Coaches, Managers, Sponsors,
volunteers and parents for their
terrific effort last week. The results
across all age-groups were encouraging
even from our development teams.
My initial expectations of the team
performances are not only measured
by results yet by the quality of
football, perseverance and attitude. I
received some communication from
Cockburn coaches during the week
who praised our player’s performances
and clubs hospitality/facilities, they
also commented on our correct
behaviour on and off the field. It was
very important this year to create
the right culture among our players
and provide them with the confidence
necessary to further develop, win
more games and to see football as a
possible career option. On the field
you will notice players interchanging
positions, this occurs more often in
the younger age-groups as planned,
with fewer amount of changes in the
older age-groups where the emphasis
was to facilitate team work and tactical
awareness.Furthermore please be
aware of general team performances
which may fluctuate from
week to week, as a result of external
factors eg: playing schedule (especially
in late April early May where 3-4 games
will be played within 10 days), I am
positive our players will still perform
well enough to consolidate higher
ladder positions across all age-groups
in 2015.
Finally, I would like to remind everyone
of the annual European Football
Experience Tour which will be based
in Valladolid, Spain for the second year.
The Inglewood team is made up of
quality NPL U15s, 16s & 18s players and
staff, which is embarking on the tour
next week, departing the 7/4/2015 and
returning 19/4/2015. Inglewood United
SC participated last season and played
three official fixtures, this year they will
be competing against a regional team
from Valladolid and two professional
teams within the professional club,
Real Valladolid. Preparation for these
games will be conducted by UEFA
Pro coaches from Real Valladolid with
emphasis on technical/tactical Spanish
football curriculum. Please follow the
tour on the IUSC website, Facebook
or any other social media available.
Your support for the boys will be
appreciated, as they are representing
the club on the international stage…

Micevski is firmly established himself
as one of Western Australia’s scene’s
premier ball players. Spells with
Perth SC, Western Knights, Balcatta
and Stirling reaped him four league
Champions medals along with four
Fairest and Best prizes. However, the
crowning achievement was without a
doubt winning in the 2009 Gold Medal
as a Knights player.
And it’s not only on the local stage
that Micevski’s talents have also been
recognised. He wore Perth Glory
colours for two seasons, gaining 25
A-League appearances, and represented
Australia at Under-23 level. “Helping
Australia qualify for the Beijing 2008
Olympic Games is something I’m very
proud of,” said Micevski, who played
one season for Indonesian side Solo
prior to a short stay with Myanmar
champions Yangon United.
“I’m very happy to be signing for
Inglewood, it’ll be an honour to pull on
the Gold and Blue,” said Micevski, who
snared 16 goals last year for Stirling
Lions. “I’m excited to get to work with
Michael and to start training with the
squad. They say things change quickly in
football and having some close friends
at Inglewood helped with my decision
to join the club.”
Micevski intends to continue that
success into 2015.“The top four should

“There’s a lot of quality and experience
in the Inglewood team, which is needed
for a successful season. I’m hoping to
pass on my experience and knowledge,
especially to the younger boys, to help
achieve the clubs’ goals.”
“Inglewood is a club heading in the
right direction,” the 29-year old
added. “Club president Luke Martin
and coach Michael Garcia have both
expressed their desire in making the
club successful both on and off the
field. I’m looking forward to the season
starting. I’m confident we can do well

Physio Report
Most Common Football Injuries
As expected, 50-80% of football /
soccer injuries affect the feet and
legs. Usually areas most commonly
injured in the legs are the ankle,
foot, knee, and lower leg.
40-45% of leg injuries involve
the ankle and foot. Most of those
injuries are sprains or strains.
Knee injuries account for 25% of
leg injuries. The ACL (Anterior
Cruciate Ligament) tear is the
most common major problem with
injuries of the knee.
In young athletes, Osgood-Schlatter
Disease is a common cause of knee
pain.
Sever’s disease is a common source
of heel pain.
In the lower leg, tibial shaft fractures
are uncommon, but they represent
the most severe type of lower
extremity trauma in soccer.
Head injuries account for 4-22% of
soccer injuries. Concussions make
up 2-3% of all soccer injuries. Most
severe head injuries are caused by
collisions. The collisions could be
with other players, goalposts, the
ground, or the ball.

Supporters opinion
Time waits for no man (or woman),
to paraphrase an old saying..
You know that if the on
field performances matched the
effort and commitment of those off
the field, then all teams would have
walked off the pitch as winners.”
And so it is with a new season
already underway.
I have spent a great deal of time
over a number of years at various
posts on match day. There are so
many different roles that need to
be filled by ever willing volunteers
and it gladdened this cynical heart
to see faces, old and new, turning up
to fill the void.
I hastened to tell him that there
are no guarantees in life, even with
100% commitment. He countered
that this might be true but at least
everyone, including yourself, knows
you gave your best and you can go
home with head held high.
With that the discussion ended
because he was right.
This feeling was left somewhat
deflated by the end of proceedings
following the mixed results for our
teams. However, if time has taught
me anything, it is that nothing in life
can be taken for granted and just
showing up is not enough.

Junior Update
Welcome everyone to Inglewood
Stadium our home.
Finally the 2015 season is here and
it feels great to finally see our NPL
teams out playing in a real fixture.
In the off season there has been a
huge team of volunteers working
incredibly long and hard to ensure
we can get all our players out on
the pitch.
I would like all of our players to
thank the parents and volunteers
for the hard work and time donated
to ensure the season is a success.
our clubs players and
are continually working
towards adding as much value as
we can.
As most will know the numbers for
all teams are at capacity and 2015
sees the club at its highest player
numbers in recent history.
The Inglewood Football Institute is
a new initiative undertaken for the
2015 season and already we see the
numbers of participants swelling.
This sees quality extra curricular
coaching for the juniors by Senior
Coaches and senior players helping
early development.
Next month see’s the start of the
development teams and mini roos
season.
I personally can’t wait every year to
see the u6’s and 7’s kick off for the
first time.
I invite everyone to get involved in
your club this year. Socialise at the
club rooms on training nights and
game days. Come and watch the
seniors play on match day and wear
your club colours with pride.
With many exciting games to
come and our grand end of
season functions and trophy
presentations, it promises to be a
fun filled, enjoyable sociable 2015 at
Inglewood United.
Seeing the pure fun and enjoyment
brings me back time and time again.
