Credit Recovery
Credit recovery classes are offered for high school students who have failed classes during the school
year. A student may take up to two semester-long credit recovery classes during summer school.
Students may not take credit recovery classes for first time credit.
Courses without sufficient numbers will be offered as GOAL classes. Space in GOAL classes is limited.
Students in grades 10 and 11 during the 2014-15 school year will be given priority. Parents/students
are informed that GOAL classes are noted as such on transcripts with P/Pass or F/Fail grades. Parents/students should check with post-secondary schools to determine how these credits are viewed.
Student Discipline
Rules listed in the Mukwonago High School Student
Handbook will be followed.
Attendance Policy for Credit Recovery Classes
Students are expected to attend credit recovery classes every day. A student may not be absent more than
two days for any reason. Upon the third absence, the
student will be dropped from the class with no credit
and a grade of F.
Excused and unexcused absences are treated the
same way. If a student misses a day of school due to
vacation, illness, lack of transportation, oversleeping,
or any other reason, one day of absence will be
charged to the student. Three absences and the student will be dropped from the class with no credit and
a grade of F.
Tardiness Policy for Credit Recovery Classes
Students are expected to be in class on time. A student
shall be considered tardy if he/she is not in the classroom when the tardy tone sounds at 7:30 or 10:00. To
curb the problem of tardiness, we will enforce the following policy:
1. First time tardy: Instructor informs the principal.
2. Second time tardy: Instructor informs the principal and a call is made home to parents explaining
the tardy policy.
3. Third time tardy: Instructor informs the principal,
a letter will be sent home to parents, and one day
of absence will be charged to the student’s record.
4. Fourth time tardy: Instructor informs the principal, a letter will be sent home to parents, and an
additional day of absence will be charged to the
