Frontier Club Thoughts …
With temperatures forecasted in the
70’s this week, we believe that spring has
arrived. No need for alarm clocks. Just
crack your windows and the chirping birds
will wake you bright and early.
Space is still available for our Oak
Lane Hutterite Colony trip on May 5. Mr.
Wipf at the colonies needs a final number.
Plans are being finalized for an early
summer Mystery Trip June 10-11. This
adventure offers something for everyone.
Of course, good dining is always a must.
We have even included a family friendly
Broadway musical for Wednesday evening. You will be entertained from dawn
to dusk! Sign up soon so that we can secure tickets. Guests may be included providing space is available.
There is still time to sign up for our
August Pacific Northwest trip. We do
need to add a few more travelers. Please
call your local coordinator if you are interested. We have a May 15 deadline.

May 14, 15 & 16 Orange City Tulip Festival
Each year at tulip time it is Orange City’s good fortune and great
pleasure to welcome thousands of visitors from near and far. What
began in 1936 as a small celebration of Orange City’s Dutch heritage has led to 75 years of what is now known as the Tulip Festival.
The festival features music and dancing by children and adults in
authentic Dutch costumes, two daily parades, a carnival midway,
Dutch delicacies, delicious food, plus thousands of tulips. The annual nightly musical production is Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s “Mary Poppins.”
May 25 Memorial Day

to cancel our Colorado trip in June.
June 10-11 Summer Mystery Trip
It is time once again to venture out to places unknown. Last year we
headed south to the Leavenworth and Atchison, Kansas areas. Every
one was allowed in Fort Leavenworth, and no one was left behind in
the fort. We travel with a clean-cut well behaved group! Where will
this year take us? Departure times are 6:00 a.m. from the Living Water Church parking lot west
of ISB in Sheldon along with our Sanborn and Hull travelers. Our next stop will be at ISB in
Orange City with Ireton, Paullina and Remsen at 6:30 a.m. Breakfast will soon follow. But
which direction will our Reading Bus Lines driver take us? Probably not north. But the destination sites are endless. We will not guarantee that you have not visited this place before, only
that you will experience new adventures. Included will be a variety of attractions with delicious
cuisine. This is an all-inclusive two day trip. Join in the mystery by signing up now. Cost is only $275.00 Guests
may join us for $300.00 provided space is available.
25th Anniversary Celebration
On March of 1990 the Frontier Club had a ‘kick-off breakfast’ to introduce the new club in Orange City. The first
actual trip was in late March of 1990 to the Ice Capades in Sioux City. Starting with 88 members, the club has
grown to over 3000. This summer we will celebrate our 25th Anniversary with activities to be announced.
