Soon, summer vacation is coming…..
Dear parents,
Summer vacations are a welcome break and you can look forward to relaxed
bonding time with your child. We have planned some fun activities which can be
done with your children at home so that you have the opportunity to spend
some quality time with them. These activities are informative and interesting at
the same time.







Help your child to be independent.
Encourage your child to develop any hobby like swimming /painting/skating/dancing.
Children love listening stories, read stories aloud to them regularly. Help the children
to talk about pictures.
To inculcate good reading and listening habit here are few suggested tittles for you to
read.

Engage your child in the following activities for enhancement of fine motor skill
Colouring/playing with clay or dough/sorting of pulses or beads/scribbling on the
newspaper.
Encourage your child to use magic words Thank you, please, sorry and excuse me.
Wake up early as sun rises. Love nature and nature will love you back. Visit to a
nearby park daily and feed the bird with bajra grains. Keep a bowl of water outside in
the balcony for the birds to drink water.
Moral Education
1. Daily recite prayers in the morning and at bed time
 . are requested not to burden their child with any kind of formal learning activities.
2. Parents
You can help them to learn in play way methods by following activities given below.
Physical Development
“Exercise is wise” you have heard it a countless time!
But do you know that it can actually help you to feel good. Right amount
of exercise can boost up your energy level and even helps to improve
your mood. So, Gear up to Provide ample opportunities to your child and
help him / her to learn in a playful manner.
1. Take the child with you for morning / evening walk and help him
/ her observe the plants and trees around
2. Encourage him / her to run, jump and play on the swings in the
park. Use this opportunity to teach not to push anybody, wait for
the turn.
3. Encourage children to play games like throw and catch the ball,
cricket and any other outdoor game of their choice in the evening.

UKG HOLIDAY HOMEWORK
Language Development:1. Read pictures and identify by beginning, middle & last sound. See how
fast he/she can segregate them into appropriate sound & correlate it to its
letter name. Make them hear &focus on sounds. Play this game with
your child as you see hoarding/books while travelling.
Memory game with sight wordsTake a pack of old cards. In place of numbers paste sight words (2 sets)
(print the last page). Place all the sets of sight words with face down on
the table. Let the child open the cards & match. He can keep the set once
he pairs it to the similar sight words. Play till all sets are made. Shuffle
and keep playing.

UKG-A, B, C - Letters a to z along with pictures .In a Scrap Book Paste
5 pictures related to each letter from old magazines and decorate it
beautifully to make your own Picture Dictionary.
UKG-D, E, F- Words. ch, sh,th, wh,oo,ee along with pictures. Use
Scrap Book and Paste atleast 5 pictures for each sound . Decorate your
Phonic Dictionary.
Make mobiles (Wall hanging)- (To be sent to school)
UKG-A,B,C- English-Rhyming words with pictures on any one of the
phongrams at /an /ag /ad/ ab /all/ed /eg/ en/ et/ell/it

Socio-Emotional Development
17TH June is Father’s Day. Draw, colour and make a beautiful card for your father.
Show your gratitude and surprise him you may choose to make your card with
vegetable printing.
Learn the given rhyme and recite it for him.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
5th June is a World Environment Day.
The germination done by the kids will be sent before the vacation. Children will
plant the seedlings in an earthen pot during the vacation, paint and decorate the
earthen pot and bring it back after the school opens.
I am Special-Help your child to learn how to write his/her name. Memorize the
address and phone numbers. Encourage him to speak complete sentences.
Few points that you need to reinforce:





Encourage your children to be kind to animals. Ask them to give food and water to the
birds/animals. For example-Keep a bowl of water and grains in the morning for the birds.
Do not waste water and electricity.
Keep your surroundings and environment clean. It is bad habit to throw things out of the
windows, car or balcony.
Play games with your child. Tell them about “good touch “and “bad touch”.
Brush your teeth twice a day and trim your nails regularly.
Creative Development
Reuse waste material to make a Utility item and bring it back to school.
