Spring 2015
Classes include the following – handouts are provided:
* Gathering for discussion, sharing, and tea
* Observing and reflecting on the children and their activities
* Learning songs, rhymes, and games to share with your child
* Ways to support healthy physical, social, and mental growth
* Effectively addressing issues such as discipline and sleep
* Creating a family life fostering happiness and healthy relationship
Early childhood is a special time. Our children are born into the world ready to grow and develop into
happy, healthy, resilient and resourceful adults. Modern research and the experience of many
professionals have shed light on what elements are needed in the environments and the experiences of
children to promote their healthy development. This same research and professional experience has
also identified many factors that can hinder this development and cause difficulties. We will explore
ways to use this information in your home and tailor it to meet your unique needs.
Parent And Baby Classes meet once per week for sessions of six to eight weeks. Parent And Baby classes
for babies not yet crawling.
Classes are led by Yvonne LaMontagne, RN, experienced Early Childhood educator trained at Sophia’s
Hearth in Keene, NH and the Pikler Institute in Budapest, Hungary. She is also a certified Simplicity
Parenting Coach.
