ITR Newsletter Osgoode, ON May 27, 2015 ITR Theatre Company ompany ON STAGE Nurse Jane Goes to Hawaii was ITR’s most popular spring show ever!!!! Creatively directed, ably produced, beautifully acted - Nurse Jane was a triumph from both an artistic and financial perspective. The cast and crew did a wonderful job of staging the show and looking after the audiences, who had a great time at every performance. David Smith’s dinner theatre offerings were, as always, spectacular. Hats off to all involved! Now, we turn our sights to two upcoming productions. The first is a Medieval Murder Mystery on July 11th, in conjunction with the Osgoode Medieval Festival ( www.osgoodemedievalfestival.com ). There is a feast at Uffington Castle, the home of King Alfred and Queen Elswith, to celebrate the visit of Elswith’s cousins, the King and Queen of Osgoode. Alas - the revelry is interrupted by an untimely death! Brother Cantfail and his sidekick, Mother Perpetual Pain, arrive on the scene to sort out “who done it”. Secrets will be revealed, a sword fight will 1 ITR Newsletter Osgoode, ON May 27, 2015 ensue, and the murderer will be caught by the time the evening ends. The show will take place at the Osgoode Community Centre. Doors open at 6 and dinner, catered by the Red Dot Café, will begin at 6:30 p.m. ITR’s November 2015 show is the funny and heartwarming On Golden Pond, written by Ernest Thompson and directed by Linda Daniluk. Auditions will be held on June 16 and 18 at 7 p.m. at the ITR Rehearsal Hall, 5488 Osgoode Main Street. Check the auditions page on our website at itrtheatre.com for more information. The show will run from November 13-15 and 20-22, 2015 at the Osgoode Community Centre, with two delicious dinner theatre shows on Nov. 14th and 21st. MOVING ON If you’ve passed by the corner of Osgoode Main Street and Old George recently, you’ve probably seen the “For Sale” sign on ITR’s rehearsal hall. We’re not sure when the sale will happen but in preparation, ITR has purchased a 53-foot trailer and rented a location for it in North Gower. We’ll be going through our possessions over the next couple of months in preparation for the big move, and expect it to take place before the summer is over. We’re actively looking for free rehearsal space, and have at least one good possibility in the works. Stay tuned… 2 ITR Newsletter Osgoode, ON May 27, 2015 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND BBQ Our 2015 Annual General Meeting will take place on June 26th at the home of Judy and Klaus Beltzner, 1370 River Road, Manotick.
