PANDORA FOUNDER TIM WESTERGREN TO SPEAK AT INTERNATIONAL
TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY’S 2015 COMMENCEMENT
San Jose, CA – 5/13/2015: International Technological University (ITU) will
honor Pandora Radio Founder Tim Westergren at its 2015 Commencement
Ceremony. At the event, Westergren will receive a Resolution of Appreciation
from the university and share his unique insights with ITU’s recent graduates.
Westergren has a wealth of experience to share from his time in the music
industry. In 2000, Westergren founded online music streaming service Pandora
Radio. Westergren’s vision and years of work with distribution partners, rights
holders, legislators, performers, advertisers, and the Pandora team, helped
shaped the company and ushered in a new era of personalized Internet radio.
The company went public in 2011 and was estimated to be worth about $100
million at the time of its initial public offering.
ITU’s 2015 Commencement will celebrate the university’s largest graduating
class to date. The university will honor over 200 new graduates at the ceremony
and anticipates over 600 people to attend the event in total. Commencement will
be held at the Heritage Theater in Campbell, CA on May 30 from 11:00AM to
4:00PM.
