FIXES
-
Hyperlinks generated from a IUCLID documents are fixed so that the IUCLID application can be started
using the link.
Corrupted attachments in IUCLID files are now detected during import. They are also corrected when
possible, if not the error reported to the user indicates the location of the corrupted attachment.

IUCLID dossiers or datasets containing a use defined in section 3.5, in the table ‘Article service life’,
defined using PROC 0 were not able to be imported back to IUCLID 5.6 when using a REACH dossier

Section changes
th
th
o Update of section 2.1 according to the 4 ATP of the CPL Regulation (4 version of the GHS).
o Section 14.1: validation has been added in order to ensure data consistency in the
information requested in an inquiry dossier.
Dossier content
o Section 3.7.1 is now marked as mandatory for ‘Application for Authorisation’ dossiers.
o Section 13 can now be included in PPORD notifications.
Compare dossier: there is now the possibility to retrieve a dossier for comparison using its UUID.
View mode in dataset: the latest view selected by the user to display the content of a dataset is kept
independently for a substance and for a mixture dataset.
Annotations: annotations added in a dossier can now be exported and imported to an updated
dossier. This allows the transfer of annotations to a revised version of the dossier. The complete
feature is described in the user manual.
Logging of export actions: export of dossiers can now be logged by the system (function inactivated by
default).
Help system / user manual updated to take into account the changes introduced in IUCLID 5.6.0.
Compatibility with Java 7 security policy is now fully implemented.
FIXES
-
-

o Section 1.9: the name of the section is updated to ‘1.9 Product and process orientated
research and development’, now aligned with the REACH terminology. In the same way, for
PPORD updates, the term ‘prolongation of exemption period’ is replaced with ‘extension of
the exemption period’.
o Section 2.2: instead of the current entry "R48/23 - Harmful: danger of serious..." the wording
is now corrected to "R48/23 - Toxic: danger of serious damage to health by prolonged
exposure through inhalation".
o Section 3.5: the content of the field 'Exposure scenario reference in the CSR' is now refreshed
in section 3.5 after a link is made from an Exposure Scenario in section 3.7.1. It is also
possible to navigate from a use in section 3.5 to the linked Exposure Scenario in section 3.7.1.

from ‘5’ to ‘<5’.
o Section 2.3 for BPR (basic) mixture is now displaying the correct composition template.
Light dossiers
o Export of light dossiers: fix for a scenario when a user exports a light dossier based on a more
recent dossier.
o A light dossier can now be imported even if the base dossier is not available in the database
as long as all attachments are already available (in other dossiers or datasets).

FIXES



Migration
o Incomplete migration of custom rules in IUCLID 5.5.0: this problem was likely to occur in the
databases where additional roles had been created using IUCLID 5.4 (or earlier versions) and
had been partially populated with endpoint access rights. The migration of these databases to
IUCLID 5.5.0 triggered errors in the user management functions
o During migration and restore, the default access right assigned for the new sections of IUCLID
is now correctly inherited from the import role: if import right is available, full rights are given
to the new sections, otherwise only read access is defined
o Verification and correction of the attachments meta information stored in the database (MD5
checksum) and during import
o Incorrect migration of the server announcements data
Server announcement function: fix of the number of characters allowed
Dossiers
o CLP alternative name request dossiers were not valid (could not be imported in IUCLID 5.5)
when Croatia was selected in the country picklist of section 14.2
o Sections 2.1 and 2.2 do not appear incorrectly anymore in the opt-out options for a REACH
registration intermediate member dossier
o Light dossiers can now be imported in Oracle databases

and the complete template)
o delete

o only in the case of reference substances and legal entities: activate / inactivate all selected
FIXES






The built-in help system is now pointing to the correct user manual section for the Endpoint
Summaries
The 'Use Category' of section 3.5 is now migrated to the field 'Market sector by type of chemical
product'
The public name, available in section 1.1 of Substances and Mixtures, can now contain up to 2,000
characters (note on the compatibility between IUCLID 5.3.0 and 5.3.1: IUCLID 5.3.0 will not be able to
import files containing more than 255 characters in the public name field; in all the other cases, files
generated with IUCLID 5.3.1 can be imported in IUCLID 5.3.0)
The built-in backup feature of IUCLID can now be used in 'I5D' mode
IUCLID prevents the import of 'orphans' document. For example, if an Endpoint Study Record (ESR) is
imported alone (i.e. without its parent substance) and the parent substance does not exist already in
the database, the ESR is not imported at all. In that case, the import log is misleading as it mentions
that the import was successful. The import message has been modified to report axactly the outcome
of the operation performed by the user.
If 'Always' is selected during the import process, all documents to be imported are now selected by
default (in the case only one i5z file is imported).
