The Amazing Alliance On Sunday April, 26th from 10:00am-11:30am children ages 4 & 5 will team up with a parent and compete against other parent/child alliances in a spirit-filled, agility-skilled sports contest. Form new friendships during relay races, potato sack games, basketball & soccer shoot-outs, and more! Junior Maccabi Games MetroWest will take a delegation to the Junior Maccabi Game, hosted by the Kaiserman JCC in Wynnewood, PA, May 3, 2015. Teams will be formed in: boys baseball, boys basketball, girls basketball, boys soccer, girls soccer, and boys and girls swimming. Athletes must be Jewish and between the ages of 11-12 years old as of 5/1/15 to qualify. Tryouts began in January, some teams may still be accepting athletes. Volunteer coaches are needed. NEW! Mini Maccabi Games The Mini Maccabi Games is a one day event for Jewish boys and girls ages 9-10 as of May 1, 2015. On Sunday, May 17th 2015, athletes will travel to the JCC in Rockland to compete against other athletes from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and New England. MetroWest will take the following sports: boys baseball, boys basketball, girls basketball,boys soccer and girls soccer. Enrichment Classes Ages 6 months-Adults Everything from tennis, soccer, karate, yoga … and so much more! Classes are taught by sports professionals and knowledgeable JCC Sports & Recreation Staff. Winter-Spring Enrichment Classes began in January. Registration still being accepted for classes that have space available. Cardio Tennis- Adults Cardio Tennis is a series of tennis-based drills and activities played to up-tempo music on. It does not require advanced tennis skills, but is all about keeping your heart rate up, burning calories and having fun. Basketball Leagues- Adults The JCC offers seasonal basketball leagues such as Mens 35+ Temple League and 18+ Basketball League. Racquetball- Adults Racquetball leagues for adults are currently being offered on an ongoing basis throughout the year. We offer Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced leagues so players of all skill levels can compete where they feel most comfortable. *We are looking for early m orning players. All levels welcome. Profanity, fighting, excessive yelling, and aggressiveness will not be tolerated. • Gymnastics equipment and the gym closet are off limits. • Please return any balls that you use to the ball cart when finished. • Keep balls and other equipment away from ceilings, lights, and other electrical devices. • Please leave all gym bags and personal belongings locked in the appropriate locker room. • Only sports equipment is permitted on gym floor. Basketball Court Rules • All games are played on a “first-come, first–serve” basis. • All games will be played to 11 (win by one). Winners stay on. • Players are to call their own fouls. • Courteous court behavior is required by all players at all times. • Foul language or physical confrontation is strictly prohibited. • When there are two games being played, the first team of five waiting will play on the first court that opens up. Track Rules Reminder: Changes to the gym schedule for special events are posted at the gymnasium. You need your membership card to gain access to the Margulis Gymnasium. Schedule is subject to change. • Children under 12 must be accompanied at all times by an adult • Balls and other gym equipment are not permitted on the track. • Proper footwear must be worn at all times on the track.
