Dear Sir/ Madam,
JNMC is completing 52 years of glorious service in the
field of medical education and health care. In an effort to
impart and disseminate knowledge, the JNMC Scientific
Society has been conducting annual CME for the last 30
years. This year the annual CME of the JNMC Scientific
Society will be held on 11th and 12th April 2015. The
popularity of this Annual CME can be gauged by the fact
that, every year nearly 250-300 doctors apart from the
faculty members of J. N. Medical College attend this CME.
We request you to take time off from your busy
schedule and attend the CME positively. The theme of the
CME is ‘EMERGING CHALLENGES IN MEDICAL PRACTICE’. Hence,
the topics are chosen to enlighten on the emerging
challenges faced by medical practitioners in current clinical
practice. In addition, the CME also includes ‘QUIZ’ for
doctors, Panel discussion on current pandemic – “Swine
Flu” and workshop on ‘Basic Life Support’.
In the history of JNMC Scientific Society CME, first
time we are introducing a platform for presentation of
interesting
cases/papers
in
the
form
of
poster
presentation*. There will be two categories one for
postgraduates & another for other delegates. There will be a
prize for “Best Poster” in each category.
The Karnataka Medical Council Act Section 19 has
been recently amended. According to this amendment every
doctor registered in Karnataka Medical Council should
produce a certificate for having attended CME programmes
for 30 credit hours in five years which is mandatory for
re-registration. Accordingly, 3 Credit hours are allotted to
this CME. [vide letter no. K. M. C. / C. M. E./215/2015,
dated 14-3-2015].
