2015 April - John Paul II Collegiate

News from John Paul II Collegiate
Principal's Message: Mr. Hansen
Our Student-Led Conferences are Tuesday, March 31
and Wednesday, April 1. Parents along with their
student are encouraged to attend one of the evenings.
Both nights run from 6:00 to 9:00PM. This is an
important opportunity for students to reflect on their
progress and share their learning goals with their
parents. I hope everyone is able to attend.
Parents please be aware that your student has made
their course requests for next year. If you log into
PowerSchool you can check what courses they have
requested. Students have until April 24 to finalize
their course requests.
A reminder to grade 12 students and parents that all
students planning on graduating this year must be
passing their required courses by May 20.
I hope that everyone in the JP Community has a
Blessed Easter Season.

Sr. Boys Basketball 2014-2015: Mr. Loepkky
It was another exciting season of Crusader
Basketball. Building on last year's success we
ended with a 10-7 record in tournaments and a
9th seeded ranking in the province. In Melfort
regionals the team played a hard fought game
against Humboldt that ended up in a loss with
a last second miss on a three point shot. We
would like to thank Tyler Wasmuth, team
captain and only grade 12 player for his
leadership and skill. Next year we have 8
returning grade 12's and are looking forward to
another great season.
Thanks also to Coach Shalen Fox for his
invaluable contributions to the team!
